LocoRoco. It was hard to put down once I got into it.
I have a long story with LocoRoco, really (specially the second one). I bought without even knowing what that was all about. I just thought it was cute XD

I expected Kingdom Hearts to suck. The entire concept just sounded ridiculous. I know now to never doubt an odd concept again.

Raw Danger is probably the best bad game I've ever played. It's not challenging or well localized but it's original enough to cover those faults. Also, Endless Ocean, petting fish and finding pottery shards is surprisingly addictive.

Quantum of Solace, it was a short crappy tie in, but a shockingly competent shooter.

Saints Row 2. I, like many other people, thought that it was just another GTA rip-off. Its not. The game is absolutely brilliant.

Sacred 2. Oh no, it sucked as much as I thought it would, but it is the good suck. It also has a kick-awesome opening video.
Honestly I dug the original Sacred out of a bargin bin years ago and went, "huh? what's this. Five bucks?" definatly worth five bucks. :D

Shadow of the Colossus.

Now before you start flaming me, I had no idea of what that game was about. I borrowed it from a friend and all he said was "There are only like 12 enemies in the game or something". It's because he's an idiot that I thought it would suck.
I was a bit skeptical when I learned it was only 16 fights as well.
But dear [deity of your choosing] it was an amazing 16 fights.
So much so that I've replayed it on every mode a few dozen times. (hyperbole of course)

If you liked Raw Danger, I recommend you go out and get the first game, Disaster Report. I got it not expecting much, but I have had a lot of fun with it.

Chromehounds. If you haven't heard of it, I can understand. It was released shortly after launch of the 360, and quickly forgotten. Perhaps that's because it was before LIVE was a mandate for 360 owners, but the main focus of the game was the online play. The game revolves around mech combat, and is sort of a fusion class-based-third-person-squad-based-real-time-strategy-shooter. The single player mode was essentially a tutorial on each of the six classes, and to unlock parts to get started in the 'Nermonius War' mode. This takes place in an alternate history Next Sunday AD, when mechs have replaced (for the most part) tanks and foot soldiers. You are part of an elite mercenary company, and you get hired out by one of the three nations vying for control of a Middle Eastern area rich in resources. Once you chose a nation to fight for, you are given a basic mech that you can augment using parts unlocked in single player and parts bought with money earned from battles. You then join up with a clan, a guild of sorts, and you can go into the fray and attempt to capture a plot of land for your nation to expand their hold on the area. Battles with other players would presumably be exciting, except that no one has the game, so battles are you and maybe a freind against some AI opponents. Victory is gained when you either destroy the enemy's base (you and your enemy each have three bases, only one marked by a flag is the real one), or completely destroy the enemy. I heard nothing about this game, and picked it up on a whim, thinking it might be worth a laugh or two. It's at very least worth a rental.

Prototype and WoW

Prototype looked "ehhh" when I saw the trailer for it, but after 10 minutes of consuming people and tearing soldiers up with huge claws I changed my mind. As for WoW people around me at school always thought it was some crappy scam for money, then I finally met someone who played WoW and he kept raving about his "blood elf" so I tried a trial after a while and after a month, "LF2M need tank" xD

Penumbra. I saw a three pack bundle of all the penumbra episodes for cheap in a store and figured it would at least kill a couple hours. I don't even play adventure games normally and I ended up playing the game all night instead of studying for the exam on the next day. It was a great time.

Guild Wars.
I bought it to pass holiday boredom back in 2005. It became heroin to me.

Objection! The film was average! The first half was actually pretty entertaining but the last half bogged it down! You know what marvel movie was good? Spiderman 3 *straight face slowly turns into weeping face* At least Iron Man made up for it.

hmmm I thought Resident Evil 4 was going to suck, or I wasn't going to like it but oh boy. I was proven wrong.

Thought ODST was gonna completely blow but I rather liked it after I started racking up some hours. My friends were so negative towards it. *shakes head*

Oh Darkest Days. No wait. I thought that was going to be good but it was worse then slamming your dick in between two blocks of ice.
