Unforgivable Gaming Sins

Watching a game in utube before finishing it. I get grappled by the awesomeness of the game displayed on the video and just can´t stop viewing it, knowing that I'm spoilbombing my own fucking self.

I will always asume that all gamers who are older than 16 are familiar with games as far back as the 16-bit era. Anything past that and we're talking to adults, with ataris and commodores and the old computers.

I can excuse the underage brats with their GTA IVs and Halo 3s not knowing about the classics, but anything older than that and I get disappointed.

Never played a Zelda game, never played a JRPG, never played Oblivion/Morrowind(except Morrowind, but that was only like for 2 hours), never played a metroid game, never played a Metal Gear Solid game.

Truth be told, I don't give a shit.

I get it "blah blah your not a gamer", "you don't deserve to play videogames", "what kind of monster are you", etc.

What games DO you enjoy?

Any and all of my gaming sins have at some point become acceptable by now.

I hated Fallout 3, I think that the original Call of Duty is the best in the series, I enjoyed Clear Sky and I've never bought a single item of DLC in my whole lifetime.

I have never managed to play Morrowind, Oblivion or Fallout 3 for more than 90 minutes into the game before losing all interest and just giving up.

The biggest one for me though would be that I am about 3/4 of the way through Bioshock 2 (and I'm thoroughly enjoying it) but I have never played the first Bioshock.

That's not so bad, Bioshock 2 is set a DECADE later from the perspective of a completely different character. There is little continuity, you could easily go back to Bioshock 1 to get the "back-story".

I personally can't stand JRPGs - especially since Final Fantasy X, just boring grind-fest with inane plot and characters almost universally as annoying and unlike-able as Jar Jar Binks.

I am also a big defender of Nintendo and the Wii... which seems unforgivable at times.

-I think the story, gameplay and environments of GTA4 and Red Dead are atrocious and dull. Rockstar has lost its way and should go back to the stylization of GTA3 and Vice City.
-I played Lego Harry Potter and enjoyed it.
-I got Pokemon SoulSilver and fucking love it.
-I don't get why TF2 is so popular. I hate it.
-I never got in to the whole Counter Strike thing.
-I hated the Kingdom Hearts series.

I think my number one sin would have to be liking QTE's I loved them in Shenmue and I like them in quite a few games, the game just has to keep the energy going so they don't feel tedious.

I don't like Final Fantasy, other than the first 3 (which I only played the starts of). Just haven't been able to get into them. I also don't like the Metal Gear Solid games, although to be fair I haven't had much interest in them anyway, so it's hard to let myself get drawn in. I love stealth, but they bore me.

I also thought Silent Hill 4 was a great game, and sticks with me as a favourite.

Also! Otogi is better than God of War. Panzer Dragoon Orta is better than Lair. Timesplitters is better than Call of Duty. The connections between those last two games is kinda limited...but it's true.

I don't really like any of the classic gamesseries like zelda, metroid, sonic or super mario. Also I've only played a few of the "classic" console games. So no Resident evil 1-3, no Metalgear solid (with the exception of the first MG on NES), no silent hill e.t.c.

I didn't like Bioshock, too much shooting.

Played through an hour or two of bioshock 1, got bored and uninstalled it.. Sure the water effects where nice and all, but i just didnt like the game that much. I have gotten alot of weird looks from gamers when i say this. And responses like "Its the best game eva!" or "Your a retard!". But then personal preference i guess. *shrugs*

I liked ET on the Atari 2600
I preferred Dante's Inferno to God Of War 3
I actually thought the ending to fallout 3 was suited to the game
