That also happened to Simon Butt.
My mum used to work in payroll for M&S, and she came across loads of people with unfortunate names, like Nelly Smelly and Ronald McDonald, but also apparently they came across so many Richard, Rachel and Robert Soles and such that they had a different system for them.(So she claims)
EDIT: Also in my school, there was a Mr Tiplady, Mr Bulldock (Think about it) and Miss Humpage. I was never taught by the second two so I'm not sure how to spell their names.
