Studying Biochemistry at Åbo Akademi University at this moment. It's really laid back, not had more than 2 lectures per day so far. First year student, mind you.

Supposedly it's only Biochemistry that is this laid back though, the others have quite a schedule as I've understood it.

I'm an A level student, so I'm still planning what I want to do, and where but my lists:
Subjects:
Pharmacy
Journalism
History
Computer Science

Universities:
Cardiff
St. Andrews
Durham
Warwick
Bristol

Word of advice though, I wouldn't advise going to Oxford or Cambridge. Too many toffs who are there because they're rich enough.

RIT RIT RIT RIT RIT RIT!!!!

(Rochester Institute of Technology) in New York state

It has a game developing program, two years ago it received an award for being the number 1 school to learn how to program xbox 360 games, and it has the ultimate geek community (also the winters get very cold there, and they have underground tunnels linking the buildings so you don't have to go out when the temp is in the negatives)

I already received their high school collegiate award for computing excellence, so I think I'll get in

I better get in....I kinda have zero, and I mean ZERO backup plans

EDIT: You apply to a specific major there, and a backup major if you don't get your first choice, my first choice is Game Development and Design, with my second choice being Team Based Software Development, whichever one I get, I'll minor in the other

also, all of their programs are 5 year programs, 4 years of study, and one year of coop at a company (they have some awesome companies that come to campus to interview students, like Google, EA, CIA, Apple, the list goes on and on) One kid actually took Japanese classes and then took his coop in Tokyo, he worked on that portable guitar hero for the gameboy (yes it sucked, but its awesome he got to work on it while in college)

I could go on for pages and pages about this school, it was freaking made for me

I'm in my senior year of high school, but next year I plan on going to community college for a bit before transferring to DigiPen Institute of Technology over in Redmond. The community college thing really depends on how difficult it'll be to get into DigiPen.

Southwestern Community College. I got my Associates in Cybercrime, Networking Technology, and Computer Information Technology. I also have my CCNA, CCNA Security, A+, and my RHCE certifications. I didn't go after any Bachelors because its too much General Ed. for me. I'd rather have 3 Assoc. degrees then have 1 bach. degree that took 40+ more hours of math and english crap.

Not always. Some schools have a sixth form so there is no need to go to a seperate sixth form college. Some universities are called colleges (UCL, Imperial) and sometimes a college is a constituent part of university (like with Oxford and Cambridge).

I took Biology, Chemistry, Physics for my AS subjects. However, an additional subject at AS level is required to do medicine at my university so I took up Maths and Mechanics. For A-level (A2) I did the full four subjects; Biol, Chem, Phys, Math & Mechanics, with Medical Physics as my physics (Phy3) optional module.

Currently doing BSc Psychology with Counselling at a university so bloody awful I'm not going to name it.

My choice was limited by the fact that I was sick of the whole school system by the time I was 16 and abandoned my A-Levels after the first year (back in the day before AS existed) so I had to wait until I was in my 20s to apply as a mature student. I originally came here to do BA Business with French, but changed after a year when I realised that the course wasn't going anywhere good. Now... I'm starting to think I should've changed to something else. Something involving computers.

I chose Psychology because it interests me but, now that I'm studying it, I'm not really seeing where I can go with it. There's no way I'll be able to change course again (the uni would let me, the Student Loans Company would screw me royally) so I'm just going to have to make the best of it. If I want a career at the end of it, the best chance I have is to complete a PGCE which will qualify me as a secondary school teacher. I'd rather not, because I'm strongly of the opinion that everyone under the age of 18 should be thrown into a moon crater and nuked, but it might have to be done if it's the only way to guarantee a steady job.

(woo, 2 hour time-lapse between typing this and hitting 'post', loldistractions)

I'm going to MIT, and if you ever hear about a statue being found in a pyramid of jello, it was me and i can't wait to finish that hack

I'm going to double major in physics and vector calculus, and plan to go into medicine at Harvard Med after graduation.
