I can't say anything that hasn't been covered from real life, but one from a video game. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - WHY do they tell you the instructions for using the map for EVERY map you get in EVERY dungeon? I think by the time I hit the Spirit Temple I KNOW HOW TO USE THE MAP!!! DX

And Bug Spray cans usually say "do not drink" or some variation thereof. Yeah, because whenever I see a can of Bug Spray, I feel really thirsty.

Omg that is funny I was laughing for ages.

Well my one is I found a game for the 360 andit said do not insert disc in mouth.

I just looked at it.

There's a sign made specifically for pointing out the edges in the same sign? My mind is completely and utterly blown.
Fourth wall breaking, no?

Hairdryers that tell you "Do not operate while sleeping."
It means not to leave it on near your head while sleeping, I can see some people doing that

I have verified that pop-tarts actually have these instructions on them.
I'm not sure what's more awesome, the fact that you found this link or the fact that you verified said insturctions have a cookie
*too lazy to find a good cookie pic, find one yourself if it means that much to you*

Most of those instructions aren't really necessary except to prevent lawsuits. Like chainsaws that say "Do not use on own leg."

There's the usual 'Food may be hot after heating' label.
The way I see it, anybody who gets injured in that way deserves to get injured.

I like that Engrish one on the side of a craft knife "Keep out of children." (exactly like that.)

Well, I'm sure there's this one guy who surely would have benefited from: "Do not use on own neck".

People that stupid need to be removed from the gene pool anyway, let him cut his own head off. In fact, let me help.

You do have a point, hence, The Darwin Award. And this was all to prove he's the manliest man in a group of manly men.

My friends internet modem says 'Will only work if plugged in to power source' with a warning sticker on it.
Seriously. I was standing there stumped for a minute wondering who would need that.

I forgot what chocolate bar it was but on the side it said "May contain traces of nuts". The chocolate bars' core was a almond stick. However, I do remember that the chocolate bar contained trans-fat x_x;;.

Really!? How is that possible!? What is the thought process involved with that?
It's not THAT stupied when You think about (atleast not as most things here, say you need to dry your hair for a long time, you think, Oh well, I'll just hang-it abovee my head and tap for a while!

Though I think it can burn your hair...

On a Dr. Scholl's Freeze Away wart remover it says and I quote,

"Warning Do NOT use if you cannot see clearly to read the information in the information booklet."

I busted up laughing in the store. People next to me thought I was nuts until I showed them the warning. It might as well say do not use if you are blind, illiterate or must use some form of optical device for proper sight.

Every once in awhile I see instructions or warning labels that seem out of place. Well, today I noticed a very strange one. As I was about to open a KitKat bar to enjoy its delicious milk chocolate wafers, I noticed some words on the flap of the wrapper that read...
TO OPEN:
Lift Flap and Tear at End

I couldn't help to laugh at it for several minutes, knowing that somewhere a person either needs this instructions, and that several people in marketing believed that people needed it this much.

So, what are some of the bizarre instructions and warning labels that you have come across in your daily life?

p.s. Last similar thread was from August of last year.
that means someone got stuck on opening a kit kat!

i do like instructions and warnings that show our stupidity, those things in shoe boxes labelled do not eat! and bags of nuts with "MAY CONTAIN NUTS", ahhh they make me happy
