I did, so much in fact I played it 10 times over.

9.7 times more than Origin.
I only played through 2 one and a half times :/
Different strokes I guess. Here's to hoping the third will be better than both :)

Skyward Sword is the worst Zelda title available.
Zelda 2: Adventures of Link is the most satisfying LoZ title.
Rage is the good version of Borderlands (but neither game is good)
Other M is a good game
I like MGS2 and the character Raiden (can't wait for Revengance)
Most NES games still hold up today

Unpopular gaming opinions, eh?
-The Call of Duty franchise sucks. Nothing more. It just sucks.
-Pokémon sucks and is more repetitive than the Call of Duty franchise.
-PC gaming is not better than console gaming, and it is not worse
-I don't care if games are "sexist" or the fact that women face insults in the gaming community, we all do.
-RTS game tournaments/competitive play sucks. If you are going to have a tournament/competitive match then at least play an FPS, racing game, fighting game, etc.
-If you jump into multiplayer before you finish/play the single player of a game you should be burned at the state.

- Duke Nukem Forever wasn?t the opposite of Batman
- Bioware has still got it
- Resident Evil 4 was still a horror game that carried a thick disturbing atmosphere and the lack of T zombies was a major plus.
- Skyrim was an abominable RPG(It wasn?t one) but a enjoyable exploration/Dungeon Crawler game.
- Left for Dead is a flimsy excuse for a game and the ?sequel? is little more than a average expansion. Oh and the Valve team come off like delusional schmucks on the commentary.
- Tenchu: Stealth Assassins is better than Metal Gear Solid.
- Silent Hill 3 was better than Silent Hill 2
- Bubsy is a good game
- Splinter Cell Double Agent was a great Splinter Cell game.
- Majoras Mask is the best Zelda game to ever be made.
- Borderlands is...Ok, I don?t see what everyone is raving about though.
- I prefer stylised visuals as opposed to photorealistic ones) ie Windwaker, Dishonored ,Unreal Tournament 3,Street Fighter, Bioshock ect. I especially like ones that have a "photo realistic paint job" (ie Brink, no I haven't played it) it just makes things look even more quirky to me
- Oh and I had no problem with Halo 2's ending. I thought it was a pretty good place to end it anyway.

-Final Fantasy XIII wasn't that bad (hey we have the same opinion OP!)
-Hope was the best character in FFXIII (yes, really)
-Older games have a massive tendency to suck ass due to being dated. I just can't stand them, with a few exceptions like MGS and Silent Hill 1.
-KOTOR II, bugs and ending, included destroyed the original. DAT STORY (ending aside).
-Call of Duty and Halo are fun games. Hardcore gamers tend to go OMGWTFBBQ I HATE COD/HALO, but I enjoy playing them with buddies every so often.
-PC's are not the master race of video-gaming and anyone who lords themselves over console gamers deserves to be slapped in the face and dick. Same goes for vice versa, but I don't see console gamers doing it as much.
-Video-game writing isn't that bad. Yeah, we are currently enjoying a lower standard of writing and less genres than film and books, but it's seriously not as bad as people make it out to be. Even generic writing like Infamous still manages to be unoffensive. It boggles my mind when people say "While I can only think of like 2 examples of good writing in video-games so yeah it all sucks".

YAY a thread to complain in!

-PC's are inherently better platforms for any type of gaming, regardless of the silly console vs. pc debate. There really is no contest. I have all consoles and a powerful desktop. I speak from experience.
-Consoles have caused a dumbing down of all genres of games.
-UbiSoft is a much, much, MUCH worse company than EA. As much as I would like to play AC3, I just can't buy it in good conscience.
-I don't view EA as all that bad. I'm actually pretty neutral in my feelings towards them, SWTOR notwithstanding.
-I think WoW stopped being fun when blizzard stopped developing 40 man raids.
-FPS's like CoD and BF have given people outside the community a negative view of gamers. They are all awful and are a blight on the gaming art-form.
-I hate minecraft. If I want to build things with blocks, I'll get some legos. I dislike Notch. I think that he's a self-righteous douchebag.
-I think tacking on multiplayer to games that aren't initially known for being multiplayer is a huge detriment to said games. Example: ME3
-I didn't really think that the ending of ME3 detracted much from the overall experience. Any disappointment I would've felt was balanced by the amazing journey undertaken to get there.
-Portrayal of women in video games is not an important issue. Forcing developers to change their work based on this would be a travesty.

- Binary Domain is a better cover shooter than Gears
- Not every game on PC needs to be playable with a m&k (especially 2D action games with very little menu clicking and 3rd person games) and like pads in FPS games can limit the gameplay.
- Bastion while having a great story and presentation plays like crap
- Fallout 3 isnt a good WRPG. While interesting at the start gets stale long before the end game, boring world outside of towns and shit loot made exploration a chore
- Modern game design philosophy isn't the only way to make games, its only the best way to sell games to the most ppl and games that don't adhere to it aren't automatically badly designed games.
- Been able to sell our used Digital games is a bad thing for most gamers who put quality games before saving the odd buck or two.
- Oldschool games aren't better than newschool and vise versa, both have their merits, the worst thing going for oldschool games is that they are unpopular unless dumbed down.
- PC Quicksaving / autosaves every 30secs is a blight on western game design, why bother designing a balanced game when 95% of ppl will just save scum past the difficult parts
- Not every game needs a mature and thought provoking storyline, The princess is in another castle can be all we need.
- A game doesn't need to have all the 100s of hours worth of crappy content in many cases less is more.

I seemed to be the only person in the world who thought that Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (the recent Criterion remake) was a gawd-awful piece of crap that had no place in the NFS series.

By extension, I guess my opinion that the Burnout series (with the possible exception of the party crash modes) is awful isn't a very popular one either :p

- Valve's games are ok at the very best
- Halo Reach is better than Halo 3
- Batman Arkum Aslyum is pretty fun, but far from perfect.
- DLC isn't the devil incarnate
- Bioware's romance is pretty good
- ME1 was the worst mass effect game (on average, because of the ending I hate me3 more, even though it did more things right in my book)
- People buying COD aren't killing the game industry
- I thought that gears of war had an ok story

Getting the big one out of the way first- I think we're very privileged to even have these games in the first place and whining about how they're not being given to us the right way, and that we somehow deserve more at the developer/publisher's expense, is ridiculous.

Also
-I don't enjoy hack and slash games, including God of War
-Every CoD game that's been released has been good and they're near perfect at hitting their target
-Braid and Limbo are okay I guess
-If your Xbox Live what's-it-called is set to Professional or Underground I'll think you're a douchebag
-Origin really isn't that bad
-I liked all of Mass Effect 3
-I don't have a problem with day one DLC because it doesn't affect me at all
-Same with preorder bonuses
-Same with all other DLC

-The witcher 2 is as linear as COD.
That's not an opinion, that's just a technical thing that's not true.

You don't really believe that's an unpopular opinion, do you?

As for me:

Ironsights are the bane of current-gen, non-sim shooters
All multiplayer games should have bots. no exceptions.
GTA IV was utter shit on just about every concievable level.
Magic is the bane of all RPGs.
cover based shooting needs to die as much as QTEs.
Die Another Day is a bloody masterpiece compared to Quantum of Solace
Sahara was a virtually flawless action adventure film
Iron Man turned to shit when he busted out of the cave and it never recovered.

There- I'm sure everyone will have at least one point in there to disagree with me about...

Well.

- I love all of Mass Effect 3 to death. Including the endings.
- I think Dragon Age 2 was a great game. (Woo! [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Dragon-Age-2-was-a-good-game])
- That BioWare in general still knows how to make good games.
- That Crysis 2 was also not shit, pretty awesome game.

So...yeah. Nothing too severe.

I think the Call of Duty franchise has excellent single-player,they are essentially interactive action movies.

Main one I can think of

-Mass effect three's story is shit. No not the ending, the whole damn thing. Yes Tuchunka, yes Rannoch, yes Thessia. All bad.

I assume automatic flame shield in this? Good, well then...

-Mass Effect 3 didn't ruin the series for me, I actually quite enjoyed it and have finished a few playthroughs

-Dragon Age 2, while not amazing, was not the sin of gaming is made out to be. I actually had fun with it.

-As may be obvious now, I still like Bioware

-Portal was okay at best. Fun, but not godsend fun

-WoW is over-hyped mediocrity. It isn't bad, but it isn't great either. Mediocrity that somehow managed to take the focus of the world. It is fun to mess around in still.

-SWTOR is not bad. It is not great either. It is mediocrity that has been ripped apart since that's what people do now. It is fun to mess around in still

-EA is not the worst company in America.

-A loud chunk of gamers (not all, not even the majority, but a VERY LOUD chunk) are whiny brats, several of which simply jump on whatever hate bandwagon is going on at the moment

-Valve's practice of handing out permits instead of games is as damnable as many things that other companies do and get torn apart for.

-CoD is, again, mediocrity made golden for some unknown reason. It is a fun game, but has no proper reason for setting such sales records.

captcha: broken record. Yeah I'm sure everything I said has been said before. Oh well
