Just like a few others, I thought it looked decent until the voice acting started. *sigh* And JRPG makers wonder why their titles don't tend to do very well outside of Japan. Hint: It's not that the gameplay is bad, it's that you don't seem to care even the tiniest bit about localization.
That is epically terrible voice acting. I mean seriously, they just... shouldn't have had voice actors. It wouldn't have made the dialogue make any more sense, or the plot, but it would have... gah... urh... murgle...

Now the Unskippable team has a good rebuttal for when people complain about too many of the episodes being about JRPGs (other than, you know, actually looking at the number of JRPG titles vs. other games they've riffed on, which shows that JRPGs are a small fraction of the total). They can say "We do so many JRPGs because they are AWESOME. Just look at ArcRise Fantasia! Hilarious."

Good point, sir! But it's a JRPG, people don't die from a plummet to the earth below! That's just crazy talk! The soldiers didn't even say "We should totally fight these dragons for some unexplained reason! Also, who's this guy with less armor than us! Why are we watching him fight? Oh look, he's falling. As I said, I like a bunch of JRPG's.. But the ones I -do- like actually make some sense, even in a fantasy world of magic. Final Fantasy IX, that made sense. Terranigma, that made sense. When a cutscene explains absolutely nothing about anything to do with a plot properly.. NO SENSE. >_<
Glad to see you return on bad JRPG cinematics. This one is a particularly magnificent turd. It's got everything: armored knights fight dragons with swords while standing still on the deck of an airship, and their most powerful warrior is a scrawny pubescent pussy with a particularly large sword and no fashion sense. Atrocious dialogue and voice acting. Confusing writing. Baffling exposition consisting of using unexplained in-universe terms like "feldragon", "hymn magic" and "coder"...
