Still easily the best console game this year. I definitely enjoyed it more than skyrim. Granted, you if you have a fetish for manly men, this game isn't for you.
But I definitely enjoyed a low-key experience, without the save the world nonsense. No, there's no empire in the game.

You don't even need to do many fights if you don't want to.
I'm sure it's cultural prejudice but 'that guy kidnapped my girlfriend, I'ma go kick his ass and the ass of anyone else who stands in my way!' still makes infinitely more sense to me than 'I'm the worst alchemist (chemist?) in the world and I probably just died of smoke inhalation but magically didn't. Let's go kill monsters, mandatory dude in town who thinks killing monsters is the best!'
Definitely prejudice. As a girl, I find the "lol, girls need to be saved, lolol" plots to be boring, whereas something like this makes much more sense. You know, killing monsters in this context simply means hunting a few large squirrels.
I find it odd that killing monsters is totally ok when a male hero in a green outfit does it while being a child, but the moment a female one wants to(or gets bugged to), it's weiiiirrrrdddd. Shows how far the gaming community still has to go.
Seriously. Nobody whines about this in Zelda. People only complain about this when the heroine is female, and I really don't think this is okay at all.
