Haha, another fine work by the Unskippable dynamic duo.
Love how you make his completely emasculated personality so painfully obvious...(Ehh...I'm tired, I want cake...)
Not to mention his inability to clue in on the current situation and work out of it.
Recurring cameraman gags are genius, and I love how Graham tries (rather creatively) to justify the lameass flashing-attack-effects in anime, for the sake of prison decor.

I can just imagine the preparation talk for this one.

"Aw, man! A lead character in a JRPG? I don't want to be a lead character! I'm just a flute player! Nobody will want to play a game starring a flute player!"
"Calm down, Cappel. It'll be fine! Gamers are getting tired of the strong silent type in RPGs. Whiny, lazy meanderers are the next big thing!"
"Oh... okay. I guess. Do I start off on a horse? I don't really like horses."
"Uh- no, the opening scene starts with you in prison."
"Prison? That sounds terrible! I hear they have giant rats!"
"Don't worry about it, we don't have the budget for giant rats."
"Oh... okay. Still...."
"Look, prison won't be so bad! I'm sure they'll have plenty of food and such there."
"Maybe some scones?"
"Yeah, sure. Scones. You bet."

Also....

brilliant just brilliant keep up the good work, although i would like it if you moved it away from all the jrpgs, or just something more recognisable
Somebody else want to field this one? I did it last week.
If I may? Ahem. Copypasta, with editing! And garlic. Mmm, garlic.

"We choose games based on how funny we can make them. Simple as that. We just did Quantum of Solace, Resident Evil 5, Star Ocean 4 and X-Blades, all released in the last 6 months for 360 in the last year for various platforms. This happens to be an older PS2 a year-old XBox360 title.

Basically, we mix it up, and we use games that work. We don't want to do a certain game merely because it's current and end up with a bad video.

Also, I point out again: We've done 16 18 episodes, with a mere 5 6 JRPGs among them.
Y'all be hatin' the JRPGs, dawgs."

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm suddenly hungry. For pasta. And scones.
thanks for the answer but why was my quote edited?

Does he think he's in Church of England? You don't get to choose between Cake or Death here.

Or rather, Cake or Limb-crush.

"Go with it... go with it..." "No."

Very nice work, guys. You seem to do your best stuff riffing off the mediocre JRPGs.

I was slightly disappointed by the lack of a stinger, though.

For the same reason I edited this one: To avoid showing an entire post again, when I'm only responding to a small part of it.

When I quote someone, I only copy the important bits that I'm actually talking about.

By the way Infinite Undiscovery means "There's always more to discover" it's Japanese
Okay, that makes sense. It still doesn't quite translate though.
"Infinite Discovery" would have had basically the same meaning as the Japanese, and it doesn't involve making up words.

So what does "Infinite Undiscovery" mean?

And heh, this was very, very funny, and the lead character is a whiny prat.

"Sorry to disappoint you."
...something he says frequently.

HA!

Ahh, I see the answer to the question was given, but...the name of the game is "Infinite Undiscovery" in English in Japanese, too. So I'm confused, what? Is this some Japanese idiom I'm missing? 'Cause I've never heard that before.

The deeply elusive, mystical, and mighty Staff of Noclip usually only makes appearances towards the ends of games, when the developers either stop caring or publishers start pushing so hard they can't think straight, so kudos to the team that created Infinite Undiscovery, having it appear so early in the game so as to prepare you for what's in store throughout your entire journey.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you."
"Something he says to frequently."

Great episode. Why is the main character being such a snob at the start?

O... M... Gihad!!! I noticed that the feeling around this episode was a bit different. I couldnt pinpoint it at first but it was making it all better in a strange way. Then it hit me; you guys did it! The one small flaw has been removed, finally!
I'm outta words... The sound going low when you guys talked was the only annoying thing is the series, and you fixed it.
Man, if Zero Punctuation had been on the top of my list, which it isn't because Yahtzee is still a cheap bastard when it comes to opening songs, this series would go straight past to the top. But you're allready on top so it makes it all better. :D

Was it by accident or did you actually follow my advice?

Edit: Wut, you had witty caption at the end? *checking*

Edit again: Aaaaaah, you did! Cool, now I've got more to watch :D Why did it get removed btw? To compensate for the sound fix or something? Oh, well. Win some loose some. No biggie if there was a good reason.

One of the best

Keep doing JRPGs, because they are so easy to rip to shreds...though it would be quite easy to fuck with Snake's monologue in MGS4.
