Hehe, how good to know that we need a very specific SOS-signal to actually convey an SOS now. I would've been screwed (and laughed at) otherwise. God, this is just the intro? Awful. I heard a lot of bad stuff about this game, but actually seeing part of it for myself is... urgh. Why is Adam in "standard space marine armour" when he's a general? Think of Star Wars, ever saw an officer in Storm Trooper armour? I guess you could argue for them needing protection, too, but it still feels off to me. And, damn, in conversation, she monologues that she talks or answers instead of actually talking or answering. Horrible story-telling. And the bit about Adam's authorization? Let's just say I have heard a lot of awful stuff about that as well. I suppose that bit at the end there was a first glimpse of what is to come.
By the way, you do know there is a series about Gordon Freeman's inner monologues? "Freeman's Mind", if I remember correctly. Pretty funny. And while he comes off as a bit of an idiot and a whiner for comedic effect, he's still a vastly superior badass to this incarnation of Samus.
