I'm fairly certain you're kidding with us, but if not: Unskippable is really more of a name. It's an illustration that the scenes are Unskippable to us.Maet said:I wasn't sure about the rest, but I'm relatively certain that the cutscenes in RE5 are, in fact, skippable. When I played it, I had the feeling it wouldn't be very long before you featured RE5, but fact remains that these cutscenes can be skipped and therefore shouldn't count. Cutting out gameplay doesn't help either.
Still funny, but now I doubt the legitimacy of the series.

I understand what you're getting at, but it still seems a bit disingenuous to me. I haven't played most of the games you've featured thus far, so I was under the impression that your videos were made around cutscenes that could not be skipped no matter how many times you threw your controller through the wall, and that there had been no gameplay breaks cut out (hence the title, Unskippable). At the same time though, it's not like I'll watch a Zero Punctuation video and raise hell every time Yahtzee stops for a breather. I suppose I jumped the gun there (sorry).GrahamS said:I'm fairly certain you're kidding with us, but if not: Unskippable is really more of a name. In fact, several times so far we've chopped out brief sections of gameplay, or used skippable scenes. That's not really the point.
The way I see it, a player isn't going to skip a cutscene on their very first play-through, so they'll watch the scene anyway. After which point, if it's bad, they've wasted that 5 minutes.
The point to take home is: We've never said we'd only ever do scenes that were legitimately unskippable.
