In JRPG terms, this is epic. Both because of how many heroes/heroines have amnesia, and how common magic is.

This is probably one of the few Wii titles I can think of that I didn't like. That's not saying much. It's average at best but it doesn't compare to its predecessor. That and I'm still baffled as to how Johnny Young Bosch's performance in this is so phoned-in. C'mon Johnny, you can do better than that.

He can... unless the voice director tells him otherwise.

Is there really anyone who could take the name "Ginnungagap" seriously?

I simply felt a massive WTF when I first heard that, but it is in fact a word from Norse mythology that translates to "Yawning Void".

In FF10, I felt that way about Seymour. That is just not the name you use to set someone up as an antagonist early in a game. That name makes people laugh. I haven't played, but lets say that Lloyd doesn't stay an antagonist. He pulls a Magus ala Chrono Trigger (even the reference is to cool for this games cinematic); then the writer needs an ambiguous name. One that could go either way.

Names are hard. But Lloyd isn't even trying. Like Seymour.

Does it help at all if I tell you that Lloyd is the protagonist from the first game which was a mountain of gold in comparison, and that he was voiced by a better person in it?

Other than that, well, I'm confused.

Legend of the Dragoon much? Those are some eerie similarities...

Well, I guess that's a bit of a stretch...
