Seven minutes of exposition and I've extrapolated that vampires exist, people seem to be politically correct about it, the chief of the secret organization to watch vampires has a cliche for a back story, the developers assume that the government would just drag its heels over an epidemic of vampirism for bureaucratic reasons, and the main character has a cliche for a back story.
Did the developers just assume that the only people playing this game are the ones who created it, and therefore had no reason to explain what they assumed is self-evident? Because they're right. No one but the developers played this.
