I think the part that annoys me the most is that the game goes to the trouble of getting you to play her twice, equipping her with a fire poker......and then having her drop it and fall to her knees the moment bad guys show up. Never mind any feminist concerns (you know, even with a weapon the female must be protected by her big strapping boyfriend, but then again she did just fall off two roofs so fair enough) that's just really frustrating gameplay. Like making YOU run across the bridge, then having a church bell fall on it. It's like the moral of the first few bits of gameplay is: "Ultimately, anything you do to try and stave off your inevitable fate is futile because some random circumstance or horrible accident will render you helpless." Kind of a downer.
