"for a few moments perhaps... bag it, then they won't see it at face value" said Rowan, "as for making it explode, i have no idea, and i have a feeling we don't have the time to implement such an idea, we might as well just trade for the antidote, they'll likely notice foul play before we can leave but we'll be free to attack in full force with the anitidote in our hands."

"How do we not know that the Antidote is not in fact, more poison? Ah screw it we'll have to deal with it when it comes, here we are."

"We don't" Rowan replied quietly, "in fact there is nothing to suggest that they had any intention of giving us an antidote or that there even is one, but we need to get this meeting out of the way, we can't do anything constructive while we're being watched."

"Alright then. We best start this little chat with the freaks on the hill." Thombur stood up from the grass, and began walking towards the shack. He noticed the shadows of the mysterious elves moving quite a lot.
"If I am not mistaken, it seems they know we are approaching." One shadow appeared to have a blade of some sort in it's hand, and sheathed under a cloak. "They appear to be armed too. It is going to be hard to restrain myself from putting the head of my axe right through their freakish heads." The dwarf laughed awkwardly, and now they were but a few feet from the shack.

Could SOMEONE freaking post besides the last five? I mean seriously you guys. This is kinda pathetic. A clear goal, a clear objective, a clear way to handle it, and no one even tries?

"We have visitors.", a rather scantily dressed female elf whispered to the vicar.

He nodded, taking a swig of his wine before rising from his throne. He gestured for the guards in the shack to form around him as he marched out of the building.

"Ah! You came, marvelous.", he said to the visitors, "Do come in, won't you?"

The vicar, who was dressed in robes that even kings of foreign lands would envy, entered the shack he had just left with his guards behind him. The shacks interior was astounding, draped with gold items and symbols made of rare materials. Seeing it from the outside was too contrasting to the inside, they had obviously chose the building to hide themselves.

"Ahem, now, you have the Relic I presume?", he said, not even bothering to check if the group had followed him in, "Because I have your little antidote right here."

The guards were on edge, regardless of their superiority in numbers. The forty or so men and women did not like having the vicar so far in the open, it was too dangerous.

"So, shall we begin?"

Just ask if you need help lads. It is my job as GM to help the storyline progress, you know.

Thombur examined the guards around him. There were a lot more than he had expected, and by the confident look on their vicar's face they were most likely more than capable of putting up a good fight. The dwarf put his axe away, realizing that there was no reason to attack while they still had their antidote.
He turned to Tipo, trying to move slowly. He was not comfortable in their current situation, and did not want the elves to think he was trying to pull a fast one. "Give them the relic, will you?"

"Not so fast!" Tristan pointed at Tipo, while slowly moving the other hand to his sword sheath, "The trickery you elves are capable of is not foreign to me. If that vial does indeed carry antidote, why not perhaps consume a drop of it yourself?".

one too eager for blood and another cautious, so far Emerson and Tipo seem to have some good companions thought Rowan, he stood at the back of the group, remaining as inconspicuous as possible in the current situation, the guards didn't seem to focus on him as a threat, more on his allies, but he could be wrong and they could be manipulating the situation to an extent he didn't expect, you guard yourself well, elf, but is this to make us think you're unprepared or because you aren't? he looked at each guard in turn, they seemed genuinely nervous, if it was an act then it was very good, there were a lot of them, he guessed about forty, but numbers meant nothing if they didn't last, and he could outlast most of them with a regenerative aura, but he wasn't sure about their leader, at face value he seems like a rich man with no combat experience, but then again so do mages, but they don't have so many guards, is he just a weak, rich elf or did he earn his place?

"Easy, Abbadon. Easy." Tipo said while reaching in his pockets of the oddly carved sote he'd picked up a small while ago. It was still slightly pulsating with the green light. Tipo hoped it'd be enough to give it the appearance, as well as the magical energies, to fool them thinking to be mistaken for the relic.

"We've got little room for demands here, Tristan." Tipo said aside, approaching the vicar. "It it won't work, we'll demand it later."

"Ahh, the Relic.", the vicar smirked, enclosing his hands around the item, "An item of untold power and worth, within my hands..."

The vicar took the rock from Tipo. It still glowed in his hands, his eyes transfixed upon it. He looked up at the others, realising that he had lost himself in his dream world.

"Ah, yes. Of course."

He nonchalantly threw a vial of clear liquid to one of the group members, who swiftly caught it.

"Your friend was poisoned with a fake death drug. Popular in this area. Essentially, they're sent into a deep sleep, but their pulse slows and their organs slow. Effectively, it allows them to look dead. Alot of my operatives use it, as a matter of fact, if they're ever caught in a situation they can't fight out o--"

Suddenly, the rock broke into several pieces within the vicars hand. Apparently the mixture of magic and the vicars vice-like grip had proven too much for the rather hollow rock. The vicars faced changed from suprise, to confusion and then to anger within a matter of seconds.

"Kill them."

Rowan acted almost instantly, he shrugged his cloak back over his shoulders and reached toward his belt, drawing the blade he had taken from the other elf, he swiftly threw it at the vicar before drawing his own sword, taking a defensive stance in front of Tipo, murmering a short incantation he cast a healing aura which he directed at himself and his allies before readying himself for an attack, finally flicking back the hood on his cloak.

finally some action for me :D

Thombur happily joined Rowan in the attack. He pulled his crossbow from beneath his cloak, and began firing upon the elven attackers.

"Hahaha! I hoped they would attempt to trick us!" This obviously surprised some of the elves, who were wondering why anybody would want to be tricked. The dwarf focused his aim at one of the elves, and struck him straight through the forehead, pinning him to the wall of the building.

What happened to everyone?

Tipo repeatedly poked Rowan in the side, annoyed.

"Move it, monkey. You're blocking my sight." He said.

He saw the sword fly through the air, straight at the Vicar. Unfortunately, it struck with the hilt, not the blade. This only served to anger the vicar, who summoned a faint green light to surround him. A magician, appearantly. Tipo shook his head. There was a reason that there was a thing as throwing knives.

With a tap of his staff on the wooden floor, he sent several elves skyward, rocketing them through the thin material of the roof. The monkeys could keep themselves busy with the steel, he had a magician to take care of. He glanced at his magic companions, hoping they could get a hint. Then he flashed his slightly-disturbing grin and pounced past his protectors, trying to reach the vicar.

two of the guards charged at Rowan, he met the first with a shield bash, knocking the elf down before swinging his blade at the second, cutting across his chest, slightly off timing meant that he was still standing, Rowan blocked several strikes with his sword before getting an opening which he took advantage off, thrusting his sword into the elf's chest, the previous elf had got up from the floor and struck out at Rowan with his blade but Rowan blocked with his shield, whirling around to cut deep across the attackers middle, the elf fell to the ground and Rowan took up his defensive stance again, waiting for the other guards to try their luck.

Tristan looked at Tipo with fury. He felt like killing him right then and there for his sheer naivety, but there were elves to contend with. He barred his teeth and swung his sword around his torso, creating several white disks that orbited his body, as if he had been swallowed by a ghostly gyroscope. Not one for sublety, Tristan growled at the top of his lungs and threw himself at the elves.
The first one that he was charging deftly dodged him and tried to strike back, but only managed to destroy one of the disks. Tristan took advantage of his confusion, and promptly sunk his sword into the elf's chest. He froze, unable to fall until Tristan removed his blade. As soon as he hit the ground, Tristan noticed that only one of the several white disks remained.
Out of nowhere, a second elf lunged at him with a dagger, only to destroy the final shield and release the spell's energy. A burst of grey energy shot out from Tristan's body, hurting him slightly but knocking back several elves who were about to ambush him. Just as Tristan was about to counterattack, an arrow suddenly lodged itself inside of his hamstring. He fell over in pain immediately, and joined his horizontal brothers.

The vicar fell, an arrow imbedded in his side. His priests ran to his side, holding him in place.

"Enough!", he roared, "Leave my people be. They only follow my word, they are but pawns..."

He coughed and spluttered, blood almost flowing from his mouth. His wound was life-threatening, but he could survive with the right treatment, but his time was short. The adventurers were still outnumbered, however, but their odds were now far greater than before.

"Take the antidote. Take it.", the vicar groaned, slowly pulling vial from out of his robes, "I am at your mercy. Do with me as you wish."

This is the first of many choices I will, hopefully, be able to provide you with. The first, is whether or not you want to kill the vicar. Killing him and letting him live both give benefits, but both give rather nasty side effects too.

Do as you wish folks. Just don't say I didn't warn you.

Rowan pulled his blade free of the guard he had just been fighting when he heard the vicars plea.

"tsk, you attack our ally and try to blackmail us with his life, then you set your guards on us and now, only when you are hurt you ask to be spared? hmph, the others can decide your fate, i've had enough of you, you aren't worth my time." he said coldly, it was the same with most people with power, they had so many servants that they themselves became weak, Rowan walked over to the door and stood by it, watching the remaining elves, "choose what to do with this fool quickly, we have better things to do."

Thombur was caught by surprise due to the vicar's plea. He was raised believing in a code of honor, and killing one who begs for mercy would surely diminish it.

"I am afraid I cannot kill him. Damn you for your plea! A cowardly act, but one I cannot reject. Tristan, Tipo, if you wish to kill him, do it now. If not, we have much more important things to attend to!"

The dwarf followed Rowan towards the door, and attached his crossbow to one of his belt straps. He then turned towards the others. "We need to see Emerson now, hurry it up. He ain't got that much time ya know!"
