The only game coming out (eventually) that I will definately upgrade my PC for is TES V. One of my pet hates is needing to upgrade my PC but I've figured its not worth the money until a game I genuinely want to play comes out.

I can barely play Empire: Total War so i figure I will just keep playing my good old smooth running games till late 2010.

What games coming out (if any) are you going to upgrade/ are worth upgrading for?

Normally, I would have said Dragon Age: Origins.

Now I'm not so sure. That last trailer was just outright bad. I realise trailers aren't the best way of figuring out what a game will be like, but the image of the game I got from it was loads of violence, gore, sex, and, of course Marilyn Manson. And this is the "spiritual successor" to the Baldur's Gate series?! I don't know; I'll need to see what the finished game is like before I make any decisions.

I bought new PC in November, so I don't think that I'll upgrade anytime soon. If I do it will definitely new graphic card. And the game? I hope some Mass Effect 2 or something like that in 2010

Nothing. I won't upgrade just for a single game. Simply because, only thing I ever have problems with when it comes to gaming is my laptop, and anything for that that hasn't worked (i.e. L4D and Fallout 3) I can simply sell and buy again for Xbox 360...

I don't need to update anything right now. I MIGHT upgrade CPU this December. As long as L4D, TF2, Quake Wars, most of the MMORPGs including Age of Conan work on High Details in nice FPS, I don't need to upgrade anything.

I just built a new stationary computer 2 months ago after my laptop crashed, probably won't need to upgrade for any upcoming games as it is. If I hadn't though I might have done it for Diablo 3 (yea I know, hack n slash isn't the most appealing of games but I've stuck with the series and all of my friends are gonna play it and that alone makes most games much more enjoyable than good ones I play alone).

I recently purchased a new cooling fan to replace the stock one on my 8800GTX. If I didn't force the fan with Rivatuner to 100%, then most of the high spec games would crash after a while. Hopefully this will solve it, and I won't have to upgrade for at least another 1.5-2 years or so. So that would be... Unreal Tournament 4? Team Fortress 3? Assassin's Creed 2? A new franchise?
