Well, that is one reason; words to describe the others escape me at this point. I intend on taking this RP seriously, and poor characters (no offence, Booster) would just drag it down.

I take all threads I join seriously because I want them to be good. This looked promising despite certain drawbacks, so I joined it, intending on being a part of a realistic RP that could turn out to have a brilliant story.

That is the way I work, and nothing you or anyone else can say will change my way of thinking.

Besides a Portal reference heavy bio I see a serious character, slight problem with people due to a heavily sheltered and abused life now living as a menial worker.

I doubt he will make it extremely crazy and story disrupting, we arent talking Mel Gibson-esque racial outbursts. I know him better than that, if you stay with it you will see that it will be handled well and with tact. And if it DOES get too out of hand that's what me and Sliver are here for.

Please, give compromise a chance. For one thing, all it is is a major portal referance. The character could easily turn out to be great.

I happily listen to other people's reasoning, if they can provide good arguments for their cases. I have no intention whatsoever of coming across as an elitist - perish the thought - but if you wish to interpret me as such, then that is your decision and I respect that.

Because, as I've said, I intend on taking this RP seriously, I disapprove of people trying to be comedic, or make obvious references to the point of plagiarism when they submit their characters. In case you don't know this, plagiarism is looked down upon by almost all roleplayers I consider to be above average. I believe you completely missed the point of what I said, which stated that I don't try to be the funny-man in RPs I join because I don't work that way.

Now Booster, I have no problem in you engaging in your old ways but I must ask for you to keep a lid on it. I don't want this to be a carefree & light hearted RP, that isn't the way it was designed.
