Political correctness.

The media's grip on everyone can be so easily manipulated.

Religion.

This culture we live in where people don't want to be held accountable.

Some bimbo spills a coffee on herself, she sues McDonalds.
Things that annoy me: Sexist insults towards people. Also people complaining about things without applying any critical thought/research into the issue.

One article, nice and short, give it a skim. The coffee caused her severe burns over her crotch. Yes, people expect coffee to be hot. They don't expect it to fuse their flesh together

Headscarves and the Muslim culture in general (atleast in my country).

I know this probably makes me a racist, but I have a great dislike towards it which has nothing to do with "terrorist scaremongering".

I agree entirely on the issue of 'thinking well of the dead'. Once you die, the respect you get from me is what you earned in life. Bastard then, bastard forever more.

I LOATHE the dependence people have developed on the safety screen of internet communication. Submissive, meek cowardice hiding behind a screen rather than actually going out into the world and doing something interesting. Playing out fetishes and fads rather than actually enjoying other people and active experience.. Ugh...

Vapid uninteresting people depending on popular trends to find commonality and social contact.

The ludicrous double-standards cultures STILL cling to in the twenty-first century...

*shrugs* I'll leave it at that.

People claiming the world is falling apart in some way or other when it's slowly getting better and better. There are isolated issues which deserve attention, but as a whole the human race is doing fine. Really.

Additionally: People who believe what they see/read daily on TV and online is an accurate representation of the world, especially when what they only ever seek out those things which support their skewed worldviews.
Yes, oh my god yes. It especially irks me when I see the inevitable "I've lost all faith in humanity" or "when did you lose your faith in humanity" bullshit forum topics that people create over one stupid thing that someone did half a world away. Really, you're going to "lose all faith" in people just because of someone stupid? Toooooon of maturity on display right there.

World hunger. Shouldn't we have fixed this by now? I mean by 2015 we're supposed to have flying cars and all that jazz so we should at least make sure people are eating...
Would you call it a trend, though? Less and less people are starving every year (though the rich do get richer and the poor do get poorer).

The fact EVERY. FUCKING. SERIES is getting a reboot now to be 'darker and edgier'. Ok, yes, some series require reboots and some of them are pretty good BUT, we don't need every fucking series in the whole world to be rebooted simultaneously. Seriously, just give it a break already...
Have you seen the one where Joey kills everybody?
1. Who's Joey?

2. What is he from?

3. Why..does he kill everyone?

The growing trend of my friends starting to request I return the games I borrowed of them. Dammit, I hoped they'd forget and that I could keep them.

1: I think Orky is referring to Joey from FRIENDS, a sitcom tv show
2: Friends
3: He doesn't, he's a happy jokey character that because of this gritty reboot will kill everyone (its a joke)

this is also purely Australian, don't know if everyone is aware of it but the whole Aboriginal rights thing annoys me, it's gotten to the point that if you don't like something Aboriginal you're a racist. The government's also working on to change the history they teach, so instead of Europeans settling Australia, they invaded it.
Uh, Im not aware of any change in the 9-10 history syllabus?

I'm bothered by the fact that offending someone has almost become a crime. People throw up they arms and act as if they have been mortally wounded when they here or see something that offends them. I could continue to rant, but I'll let Steve Hughes do it for me.

Ah! I see, well, now i now that.

Well, it's my fault for not getting the joke seeing as i didn't actually watch Friends simply because it didn't really interest me (I've watched very VERY few sitcoms in my life as most just don't really appeal that much too me). Just personal preference though, but again my fault for not getting the joke ^^

yeah, its a pthetic situation...they NEED to get off welfare, I dont know anything but I feel perhaps they are being too soft, its time to forget the past and really fix this mess

in regards ot the shcool thing I got a fair amount of guilt tripping in my classes...HOWEVER regardless of if you call it "settling" or "invading" theres no denying the british colonists did what british colonists did best....be dicks to the locals
