Yes, if you're 16 and older, and you want to show off a little more skin, then that's your prerogative as someone coming into adulthood, what I'm talking about is the constant look of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who wear clothing that just five years ago was popular with the prostitution sect. As a father of two girls, I will be damned if my daughters will be allowed to wear anything revealing or "sexy" until they're 16. After that, it's their choice, but by then I hope that both are going to have some sense of modesty and self respect not to dress in something that advertises free sex.
Oh yes, this. Even those, those fucking Facebook status's about what colour bra you're wearing or whatever to raise awareness. No, we don't need to raise awareness. Some people join in with shit like that because they think it makes a difference. No! Giving money to the charity will make the difference, people need to get off their arses and stop acting like following a stupid chain mail is going to do any good.J4RD said:This "raising awareness" stuff people are doing. A friend of mine recently wore pink for a week "to raise breast cancer awareness" and was quite vocal about it. Breast cancer isn't some obscure endangered animal; I'm pretty sure just about everyone is "aware". Wearing pink all day only makes it look like you're helping.
Totally agree, but no government will go to that extreme...which kinda sucks for people like me (nutritionist) who have to work with more and more patients.Spandexpanda said:The rise in morbid obesity levels worldwide. Also, the average age for developing type two diabetes is getting lower every year. The government should pass a law banning obese people from buying chocolate in their own post code.
Thank God I'm not the only one who hates that I got nothing but trouble in high school because of it. I'll have sex when I want and only when I feel a connection to the woman not just to do it. If it was really so great then everyone I knew would be happy as hell but as it stands no one was and it seemed to cause nothing but trouble.TakeyB0y2 said:Making sex seem like it's the OMG BEST THING IN THE WORLD and that having it is the GREATEST accomplishment you can ever achieve in life and if you haven't had it then your life MUST be TERRIBLE, EMPTY and SHALLOW! In comparison to the eastern world where Islam reigns supreme and a few countries are built on theistic monarchies, eh (not that... well, I guess not that I can judge coming from the western world).Monoochrom said:Atheism is not a Religon. Atheists don't even necessarily think alike. I consider myself a Atheist, ALL that means is that I do not believe in a God. Simple reasoning, I have no rational reason to believe in a God. I do not deny Gods existence, I simply don't believe it. In other words: Maybe there is a God, but if so, that God and all of his followers have given me no compelling reason as to believe he exists.emeraldrafael said:Not to start anything, but the growing hate or at least vocal disliking of religion by other religious groups. Most the whole growth in popularity/vocalness of Atheism in proportion to the growth/accessibility of the internet.
I mean, its perfectly fine if you want to be atheist (or really any other religion) but theres not a lot of need to go to the internet and talk about how religion is wrong and the source of all the worlds problems just by the vocal few who make it look bad. And thats not meant to glorify other religions over it, cause they're guilty of the same, but I just dont believe that every atheistic thread is made in retaliation of a shot some religious person made at atheism.
You want to know something? I can't recall ever saying anything bad about any Religion other then Christianity, which is actually quite ironic seeing as officially I am a Catholic Christian. Do you know why I am far more likely to speak up against Christianity? Because I live in the western World where it is, despite being the belief in a invisible man in the sky, has far too much influence. Religious people actually have political power. Now think about that for a moment. If I have encountered no rational reason for belief, why on earth would I be happy with people, that from my perspective migh aswell believe in Vampires and Werewolves, actually have the political power to influence the world I live in? To me, that's like making people from the looney-bin King. Go ahead and believe all you want, if you want me and probably almost everyone else to leave you alone about it, tell your Leaders to back the fuck out of my life.
This, honestly, I only recently started having sex and I like it a lot but it's not earth shattering. I'd have friends who would give me shit about having been a virgin before hand and now it feels about then same. I've matured as a person undoubtedly but I don't automatically feel the need to ***** at other people.TakeyB0y2 said:Making sex seem like it's the OMG BEST THING IN THE WORLD and that having it is the GREATEST accomplishment you can ever achieve in life and if you haven't had it then your life MUST be TERRIBLE, EMPTY and SHALLOW! It's a disturbing trend, though not entirely new, that ANY human rights issue is put up to popular vote. They're supposed to be freaking inalienable rights.Harry Mason said:Trend that is the most likely to piss me off and make me yell incoherently at conservatives?
Gay marriage in America. Specifically, the fact that it's not legal and the fact that ANYONE still believes the legalization of Gay Marriage is a RELIGIOUS DISCUSSION. It's fucking not. It's a legislative and civil rights discussion. GRAGLE GRAGLE!
wow, i have never been ninja'd quite to thoroughly.Kaiser Jon said:*Initialize musical list song*

There's Political correctness, anime nerds stealing the title of nerd away from true computer and vg nerds, new R&B, emo rock, new rap, rap as a lifestyle with cars and clothes, tween culture, MMA replacing Boxing. Oh and Dubstep.
then youre not being atheistic, you're just being prejudice and something of a dick really. Last i checked, atheist meant you believed in no god of any religion, not an immediate hate and intolerance to Christians. Cause i gotta admit, if thats the true definition there, my atheistic friends arent doing it right.Monoochrom said:No, it isn't a religion, but if you want to believe so, keep in mind, the unifying belief would be less ''There is no God'' and more ''Christianity is full of shit'', I'm fairly certain most of us could agree on the second one.emeraldrafael said:snip

Well that is clearly a biased graph. For starters Kartina is marked as 514 million, while the rest are just marked as 275, 209, although I assume it means million. Also I'm not sure if just the first 7 days can really give you a good idea of the general situation.ZiggyE said:
I think people use the first seven days as a projection because thats when its freshest and the coutry shows its weakest. after the help starts coming in and rebuilding starts, it looks less horrible and less people donate. Kinda the shock and awe factor.DasDestroyer said:Well that is clearly a biased graph. Hmm... well, that is true. Perhaps I've just had too many graphs in Data Management class recently -_-emeraldrafael said:I think people use the first seven days as a projection because thats when its freshest and the coutry shows its weakest. after the help starts coming in and rebuilding starts, it looks less horrible and less people donate.
