There needs to be a shooter designed around the Hungarian Revolution of 1956; that would be urban warfare up the wazoo.
It lasted how long? Two weeks? It was basically University students with molotovs against Russian tanks. Not exactly heroic epic. Besides, if you want something epic from Hungarian history, look at the Siege of Eger. It lasted over 3 months, where 2000 hungarians holed up in the fort beat a turkish force of over 200000. Other (obviously exaggerated, but hey, it's the middle ages) versions say it was over 500000. 1000 Hungarian losses and... well, a truckload on the other side.
And the fort was taken bloodlessly a few decades later. So it goes in politics.

A GOOD zombie apocalypse game.

Scavenge for food, headshots only, et cetera. Think Fallout without the destruction or radiation and more zombies.

A RTS where you can go down and directly control your units as a option. I would love that so much. VC got it close but it wasn't exactly what I wanted.
Nuclear Dawn is the game for you.

I'd like an urban shooter, where you can use the whole city to your advantage, such as climbing a skyscraper to snipe or clearing out houses and apartments. A first person sandbox urban game.
That nuclear dawn game looks very nice

A mix with a RTS and FPS, 1 guy is like the commander over one team and can see the whole map(or well see the whole map like you can in normal way in RTS games). And the rest of the players are on the ground and can see where the commander want you to move and same for the enemy side.

I'm sure it will fail if tried but I would love to play it, if it worked.

Post apocalyptic RPG/FPS. Not like Fallout or Borderlands, I mean realistic settings, like what would happen to the world if there was a bunch of EMPs going off or if we all ran out of oil. Game play elements would have some regular FPS stuff but how accurate you are will be based on your ballistics skill, how far you can sprint will be endurance, making weapons would be a combination of intelligence and mechanics skill or something. And the enemies would react to bullets like in Red Dead Redemption, except when you shoot them in the face with a high caliber weapon their skull structure reacts realistically. Also, the game would be severely realistic. Like, if you reload a magazine and there is still bullets in your last one, you pretty much wasted them. You have to zero in your scope for rifles.
Not only that, but you can make a weapon out of anything when you're in a pinch. Rip a leg off a chair, pick up a screwdriver and jam into into someones eye, grab a beer bottle to bash it across someones face. This game sounds awesome.

Your idea sounds good, but I'd like a GOOD version of Die Hard. The whole game takes place in an office building. Its all indoors and urban. It would have to be a new modern building with lots different areas to keep it interesting. Like a day care, cafeteria, cubicles.

Or a shooter that takes place in a mall. That would be my dream game.

Anyone ever play the old die hard games?
What do you mean a good version? The first Die Hard game, where the first movie was a 3rd person top down view shooter, the second movie was an on the rails fps and the third movie was a driving game, was one of the greatest things on the playstation.

I never played the second version of that game though, were they ported it to Vegas or something.

Ok so, there are many games with guns. Unfortunatly most of them are about War, or in the future (or near future) or just set in stupid boring places. Not enough FPS/TPS's take place in the cities if you ask me, where you can select standard handguns like a Glock 18 or a Beretta 92fs and tear shit up.

Sure you've got the GTA games, Max Payne, True Crime and um.... I'll have to get back to you on that one.

So I've taken it on myself to go to a game designing course. I have so many idea's for games that I just want to play. Like a building strategy set in either modern day or future (C&C Generals and Supreme Commander) where you can select a single unit and control them in first person or something.

Just imagine how badass that would be. Like Starcraft. A massive Zerg invasion is heading your way and you have a shitload of marines to counter them. Select a marine. BOOM you're in the fight up close and personal. Ready to tear shit up.

NOW for discussion value:

What are your gaming ideas that you have yet to see come to light.
That sounds cool, but for the love of god please make it FPS not TPS.

How bout the opposite, where you act as a single person from a FPS point of view, but can act as a commander and get your grunts to build bridges and entrenchments? You're given a giant warzone and can do whatever the hell you want with it, flanking the enemy, building entrenchments and traps, rolling in vehicles and artillery, and the like.
I'd say the possibilities for that are endless. Are you a wartime colonel with a division of men at your control to swarm an enemy town, or a special forces commander in charge of a small squad of infiltrators? Or maybe you're the leader of a small guerilla group, or a figurehead in a riot.

I want a Star Wars RPG or a LOTR RPG. They would be amazing.
Like KoToR?
a bit, but more like oblivion. Full character customization, the option to go first person, full freedom and the option to travel to different planets.

Yeah, I couldn't get into the top down one at all.

I forgot about 2, that one was awesome.

And I thought the playstation one was just too hard. The sound effects were awesome though.

We need a new Die Hard game with a big budget

I quite like the Idea of a modernday suburban rpg/shooter thing.

But then, Morrowind and Dark Messiah just need to sit down, have kids, and release addons on a regular basis, and I'm set for life.

It would be fun to get AP rounds, infrared goggles, and then pick off the pricks who are too loud in your apartment from the comfort of your own couch.

You know what would be even better though? Being able to kill people creatively. Go outside and change their water pressure so their toilet explodes when flushed, cut their power to disable their burglar alarm, lock them in their own closet, have a light-switch trigger a bomb, fill a cars gas tank with gun-powder, or poison their food.

There's just so much potential to murder and maim. Why not let you wear latex gloves so they can't find fingerprints on your gun or what if you could wear slippers to muffle your walk. Hell, you could pump a round in yipping dog and serve it to them as meatloaf without them ever knowing.

Look into a game called Battlezone (2), not the 1980s one either.

RTS game played from an FPS perspective, giving you the option to take over vehicles.

Old but rather good.

As for taking over units, Dungeon Keeper anyone?

For a suburban shooter I was quite pleased with the the last few levels of Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, although it has been a long time scince I have played it so I might be thinking it had more suburban combat than it did.

As for my ideal game it would probably be a free roam urban FPS that incorporates parcor, exploration, and a hell of a lot of customization
