Ah.
Immature and deluded pessimism.
It makes me laugh.
Tell me... abnormal compared to what?
We are, as far as we know, the most advanced species in existence. At the very least, we trample every other race on the planet in EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. Technologically, ethically, and by just being so damn smart.
So please, tell me another race that started out with pure equality. Or are you going by science fiction standards? Because if you are, you have to realize, our race is still in it's infancy. We've yet to achieve the greatest goal- interstellar travel.
Then again, based on reality, we are damn awesome because we've left everything we know in the dust.
Yeah, we fuck up. But so do a lot of individuals that end up being amazing people. Would you damn a former thief for the rest of his life even if he turned it all around and became a great person? Or would you take the good with the bad and realize that humanity, either on the individual level or group level, isn't perfect? Nothing is. Not perfect =/= bad.

You say that as if it's abnormal for a species to take that long to do it.Exterminas said:For example: It took us almost all our history to get rid of slavery and to get women accepted as equals (in some parts of the world).

How are we useless? Or was that sarcasm?Pingieking said:I think we are the most amazing and the most useless species at the same time. So if you average that out, we actually end up being kind of so-so.
