I'm just sitting here in my loaded gun and pointy object room.

Guess I'm screwed.

If only I had something to defend myself with!

I fence, so I have my foils right next to me. I could break them and use the sharp end. (They are not particularly lethal otherwise) In addition, several heavy textbooks, a helmet, and some rather long computer cables are nearby.

I've got a disarmed hand grenade (actual a decent bludgeon), and a sword in my closet (not actually very sharp, but pretty good for intimidation). I might be okay.

My sister left two pencils on the desk and her jump rope is a few feet away, and I have a wireless mouse, a remote, and a controller to throw, and I could put some hand sanitizer in my hand and try to get it in their eyes, and I have my shoes. Who throws a shoe? honestly? I do.

I honestly don't believe a fraction of the people here claiming to be sitting on pistols and shotguns and combat knives and axes and vials of smallpox.

I have a machete, a spear gun and a diving knife, but I sure as fuck don't keep them near my computer. They're locked away in my shed. What is wrong with you people?

In my room, the most weaponised item I could use would be a concrete raccoon. It's about 2-3kg, is easily hefted in one hand and would dead serious damage if I beat someone with it.

That is a realistic weapon.

You can keep your Desert Eagles. I have a concrete raccoon.

lucky for me I've got nine guns to choose from, so the better choice would be wheter or not I want to make a mess of them.

I'm reading this while sitting in my friends room in Montana. In view I see 2 loaded ak's, 9mm glock loaded and a 6 shooter that shoots 410 shells also loaded... oh and he has 2 pit-bulls (granted nice as hell but intimidating).

If I were in my normal residence I have a Remington 870 loaded under my bed. For melee I have a Stanley FUBAR. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:eek:fficial&channel=s&hl=en&q=stanley+fubar&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=17576658583740929677&sa=X&ei=MQ6zTYXHMYP4swOlmpDaCw&ved=0CDAQ8gIwAQ# as well as most of my other tools.

I'm at a workplace as I am reading this. So uh... I wonder if that Broadsword over the boss' desk is any good.

Edit: Asked, it's pretty damn sharp.
Did your boss ask why you wanted to know? Cuase I'm curious how you played that off without sounding crazy.
Wasn't my boss, was a buddy's, so it didn't matter if I sounded crazy or not. But he was a good guy ^^ (I noticed that they had a PS3 in the breakroom also.)

Now, let's see. Which one of my plentiful high-quality battle ready carbon steel weapons should I choose...

Well, since this is tight indoors, my longer swords are somewhat useless. Most of them aren't even sharpened because it's a pain without the right tools and I'm not that good at it. I suppose I could use one of my shorter ones. My Venetian-styled stiletto would be pretty good, what with incredible piercing power and all that.
Then again, I'd probably choose my incredibly sturdy custom ordered field knife. It doesn't cut, it hacks like a beast. And it's a fast, balanced beastie at that.

My PC's are in the living room along with the TV and everything else. So are the 4 swords and the various knives. If those didn't work I would commence to beating the with the 6 monitors from the two Eyefinity setups we have sitting around.

Also the three dogs that are always in the room with me would probably get to them before I did hehe.

I have a steak knife on my desk and a sword cane within half a step, so I think that unless they have firearms the burglars are going to wish they had picked another house.

Fortunately I have a recurve bow and sufficient arrows to be sure a bad guy is dead without having to actually check (even if one of the arrows is blunted and bent after it got fired at a hammer hidden inside an improvised target).
Unfortunately its a bad idea to keep a bow under tension for days on end so it's currently disassembled and sitting in its carry case (which annoyingly is too small to carry the ridiculously long arrows I use. They're nearly 3 feet long!) so I'd have to unpack, assemble and string it first which takes a good minute.
Also, I'm a tall bloke which means I need a tall bow so I can't actually lift it to my normal shooting position and reach full draw inside my room without punching a hole in the cieling to make space for the bow.
So in a "holy-****, someones just leaped through my window!" moment I'd probably use the tiny little knife thing in my bedside cabinet. Or throw the xbox at them. They have a tendancy to turn into giant white bricks anyway so that could work.

Interesting how many people seem to live in a gun locker.

In my room are a blunt one-handed longsword, a thin wooden stick, two dumbbells, a folded camping chair, flowerpots, a floor lamp, scissors, mugs, books, atlases, a ruler, a lighter + different clothes... ordinatry stuff you can use to beat the shit out of somebody.

My room? Heh. That's where all the swords are. Not to mention the sais, the knives, the clubs, and the crowbar.

A sword, a tear gas pistol, a Mosin Nagant rifle, and a small 4 inch Smith and Wesson knife. I have no rounds for the rifle in here so I guess it doesn't count but it would still scare them. So would the tear gas pistol because it resembles a real compact pistol and it'll still mess them up enough with the tear gas for me to do something with that sword or my knife (the knife is much sharper).
