That's Experimental Probability, saying that even though there is a third possibility for the coin flip, the chances of it occurring are astronomical at best. That's why I said THEORETICAL probability.Piflik said:It would be 1/3, only if all three possibilities would be equally probable...but they aren't...the probability of a coin landing on its side is negligible...ThatLankyBastard said:Theoretically, the chances of flipping a coin and getting heads is 1/3...
The formula for theoretical probability is
"# successful outcomes"
______________________
"# possible outcomes"
So according to Theoretical Probability, when flipping a coin there are 3 possible outcomes; heads, tails, landing perfectly on it's side!
Using figures at two decimal places you'd have to be 31.775 years old (to three decimal places) to have lived exactly one billion seconds. I just hope I haven't been ninja'd.scatmanfan said:Unless you're 32, you haven't lived for a billion seconds. I actually did the math on that one, as it seemed preposterous. 32 isn't exact, but I didn't go so far into the math as to see EXACTLY when you'd hit a billion seconds.
So THATS what that sound is...me.vicky said:It's completely true, and it's very scary.AlexWinter said:DarkRyter said:People with green eyes can't see dogs.
.....Wait.. What?
Think about it.
All they hear is the barking.
For some reason, that really makes me laugh.TheYellowCellPhone said:Here's one I hear: Ever 50-72 seconds, someone in the world says mustard.
You really had to point that out? xDpyrosaw said:Load of BS.DarkRyter said:People with green eyes can't see dogs.
Yes I can just not the tip of it.klipton said:You can´t lick your own elbow.
Hey! Gullible sounds nothing like oranges when said slo-...badgersprite said:Did you know that if you say the word 'gullible' really slowly, it sounds just like you're saying 'oranges'?
