The Chinese Pistol and 32. Pistol in Fallout 3. They may actually only be useful for repairing and selling.

Neros gun in DMC4, i hate the damn thing, it just doesnt compare to ebony and ivory. Also sniper rifles, although its maybe just a personal preference but i like to get up close to my enemies before i kill them

Not really a weapon but peasants in the total war games. They will likely run away before even killing anything. They aren't even useful in the campaign because of mercenaries.
They get a defensive and morale bonus on walls, can run nearly forever before getting tired and are extremely cheap. Use them to keep towers occupied when being sieged. Spending $200 on them the turn before you get attacked WILL make a difference if you can keep 4 extra towers online.

All the weapons in Boktai 2
Seriously, why the hell did they get rid of solargun? Only to replace it with crappier version?

The 10mm submachine gun in Fallout 3 was pretty horrible.
Really? Maybe it's my character then, because I use a submachine gun and it always works great on raiders and supermutants. I do have 100 in small guns though.

Game designers think that they add balance. That is only if people actually use them though!

My vote goes to the Intervetion on MW2. Why would you use that when the Barret is unlocked from the get go too and is a better weapon all round? yes, yes, I know that some pople prefer the Intervention, but you have to admit, you are in a minority.
I am among that minority purely because I prefer bolt action rifles and I feel as though the intervention's scope comes up faster and I have noticed( probably crazy) that the intervention gets more I shot kills than the barret.

Zeus's thunderbolt in the first God of War, it almost no damage and wasted your much needed magic, Medusa's head okay, and Posiden's rage was rapetacular. Thankfully in God of War 3 they're replacing magic with something that seems to refill, so we don't have to worry about our magic too much

some weapons in halo like the pistol. The prod in worms (unless if used for humiliation). Grenades and other lobbed weapons in that game are pretty useless too (excepting the holy hand grenade).
Looks like someone hasn't played Halo: Combat Evolved...
Pistol, meet everyone. Everyo- Oh you're all already dead...
Yeah in Halo CE the pistol raped.

Actually, it's most kids who think the Barret is the best, more mature people like the Intervention much much more
Wait a second, that sounded like a dig.

The intervention sucks on anyone that isn't standing still, doesn't always one shot kill even in the head and has a terrible fire rate. How is it better?
Firstly, the Intervention is better in my opinion for that very reason. Everyone who addictivly uses a Barret looks like a noob. A good Intervention sniper is not only better, but requires more skill.

Plus, you are pulling those statisics out of your ass. An Intervention has the exact same damage stats as a Barret, only it's more accurate and fires slower.

As my addition to this thread, I'd hafta say the Predator pistol in ME2, the sniper rifle in AvP (new one) and AvP 2, and the bolt pistol in Dawn of War 2.

I won a 1vs7 battle in Halo: Combat Evolved using only the pistol, that should say something.

OT: I'd probably say the pistols in DMC4, they never serve a real purpose unless you're trying to ace your way through and need to keep combos going, which isn't my main purpose when playing the game.

dunno what you've been playing but the interventio always one shot kills for me, imo it just takes more skill to kill someone with 1 shot from a bolt action then 5 or 6 from a semi because you missed the first shot.

most useless weapon i can think of, the magnum in halo's 2 and 3 in 1 it was awesome, scope and high damage, great fun :)

The pistols from KotOR are bloody useless! Especially in the beginning. It's much faster just to use a vibroblade.

Two things:
The strange, ultra powerful gun that you never get ammo for and Halo, a ring designed to support life yet despite being made by a civilization that spat in the face of the impossible doesn't wipe out just the Flood, but rather all sentient life. It wouldn't be so hard to explain as "We were running out of time and only could design this" if they hadn't built so many of them along with an even larger one that is able to make more. Plus, the object needed to fire it is trapped in an area infested with the Flood.

Dead rising had like alot of useless weapons. A water gun? Seriousilly? You want me to fight literally thousands of zombies with a water gun?

However those are only there to make the game seem more alive, and sometimes when your last weapon breaks grabing and throwing everything in sight can be quite fun.
