How often do you use curse words and why?

I use them a lot. Not because I think it makes me look "cool", I use them simply because they are frowned upon in society which makes it all the more fun to use them. (if you have a problem with why I curse then keep your opinions to yourself)

I swear quite a lot. Usually in Finnish though. "Ah, fuck" just feels tame compared to "No voi vittu".

All the fucking time. I try to goad people into an argument about it. It is fun to convince people there is nothing wrong with them :)

"Damn" is a curse word?!
same as Ass and Douche. Both of which have meaning outside of their "cursing" nature.

I swear a lot, but I can chose to stop swearing in an instant. Like, I'll be upstairs speaking to some mates over XBL and I'll be swearing all the time, but then go downstairs for dinner with my parents and say more or less the same thing, but without the swearing. When I'm with my mates though it's weird not to swear, because it seems in Manchester (and probably a lot of other places in England) you're brought up to swear up until the point you have to throw "****" into every sentence because everything else is tame in comparison.

I've "insulted" people before by just saying "fucking" in a sentence, which I find quite hilarious. It's just a word, I like to use them for emphasis or comical value. People who think they're above swearing or being in the presence of someone that does make me laugh too.

And "voi vittu" feels tame compared to PERKELE

I swear either a) for comedic effect or b) when I'm pissed off. Since I'm usually either making inappropriate jokes or angry (I'm not proud of this) I swear a bit too much for my own taste.

it depends...If I'm around other people I keep it (mostly) clean. When I'm alone I'm a foul mouthed person.

I swear a lot
mostly because I need expletives that have an actual physical effect on me

did you ever read that study that a university preformed

the control group submerged their hands in icy water but couldn't swear
they could only say "dang" or "fudge" or "poo" you know fake swears

and the test group could say what ever they wanted
and the test group managed to keep their hands submerged 30% longer

I used to try to insert 'fuck' into any sentence possible, and season 4 of Dexter has reinvigorated my love for using the word '****'. Its gone down since I work with kids and have already let slip a few. 'Damn' most famously (he was bugging me that he wanted to ask his question next so after a few minutes of this I said "Okay, what's your damn question?!"), and I said fuck once under my breath but I don't think the kid heard (one of my favorites from my first year who had a similar sense of humor - which is the only reason I would ever say this to someone - and he asked for a hug the last day of school and without thinking I said, "Okay, now get the fuck out").

I tend to swear quite frequently for comedic effect or emphasis when in the company of those who'll appreciate it for what it is, and not take offence. After a weekend church conference, some of my youth group mentioned that they hadn't heard me swear once during the whole event, and I hadn't even been trying to tone it down. It's not something I make an effort to do or avoid doing; it's like I have an automatic on/off switch depending on the company I'm in.

My opinion on the matter is that it's perfectly fine to use profane expletives, as long as they aren't used to the extreme where it just makes the individual sound unintelligent.

I use them a hell of a lot.
I got suspended for 1 day from Xbox Live for having the word "shit" in my bio.
That isn't even a curse word to me any more.

I usually only curse when I'm panicking or am really pissed off, although I've been trying to cut down on my cursing lately.
