http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2009/02/anyone_with_50_bucks_lying_aro.html

I came across this searching for good investment ideas. No lie, THIS was the first result! It is stating that World renound German Game ruining fucktard "director" Uwe Boll is now taking $50 investments for his next "film". Previous threads have mention that the German gov gives tax breaks to invest in movies which is how he is funded(Correct if mistaken please). Along with donations from the clearly derranged cultists that he can call a fan base. Either his fan base comitted suicide from seeing "In the Name of the King" or the German people realized what their money was being used for. But I'd like to think of this as a good step in our direction because he is now asking the very people he has told to fuck off for some money. We have him on the ropes, let's keep up the good work.

This news is slightly old, and I think it was reported in the news section at the time.

Never the less, thanks for bringing the rather puddled idea to everyone's attention again. We can give even less of a toss than last time ;-).

meh only about a month just thought it was funny cuz i typed good $50 investments and it popped up as the first link. Well Uwe Boll's actions need to be kept up on with close supervision. and the news is only a month old. also if anybody read they quoted him as best directior of all time. That had to be a joke, right?

I would do it, just because then he would owe me money, so I could go right up to his stupid monkey face, scream "YOUR MOVIES ARE PURE DRIVEL AND YOU ARE SECOND ONLY TO JOEL SCHUMACHER ON THE LIST OF HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE DIRECTORS!" as many time as I like, and he would just have to sit there and take it!

This is kind of old news I think. Might be wrong tho. He's been trying to gather money like that for a few years if I'm not mistaken.

Meh, I'd laugh at anyone who would invest in that.
I might just invest in that. They man makes some of the best awful movies I've ever seen, and it's not like he's ruined a game that had any real meat in it's story anyway (House of the Dead's original story was actually WORSE than the crap it was replaced with afterall).

The thing about that is that he makes bad movies, and he considers them cinematic masterpieces. if he takes games with bad story then he should redo the story MUCH BETTER. Think about micheal bay turning transformers into what it was an old animated tv show about robots turning into cars and bad story lines, he turns it into a fantastic visual experience while keeping the essence of the show there. none of Boll's movies have a glint of the games they are based upon.

I'm not saying the man is good at what he does (presuming his aim is to make quality pieces of entertainment). I happen to enjoy watching bad movies for some reason, and Uwe Boll makes some of the best bad movies around.

Besides, It's hard not to respect the man.

Think about it - EVERY single movie he has made thus far has been a critical and commercial failure and yet he soldiers on. His name is reviled among the seething masses of jilted fans and yet he continues to make movies.

Further, you have to respect his capacity to get a film made, even if it's terrible - it's better than anyone on this board is likely to do (because if you never make a theatrical motion picture he wins by default you see). More astoundingly, he as done it again and again, in spite of the fact that his movies are absolutely horrible.

The man has a certain strength of will and purpose that I can admire. No matter how foolish his mission, no matter how doomed the production he continues to make the movies that make most of us consider putting your heads through a plate-glass window. He's got all the qualities of a truly amazing director EXCEPT the skill to make a good movie.

I don't think that awful movies are going to be any profit in terms of your investment...

Unless people will actually queue up to watch and laugh at how bad they are. But that's what internet is for.
I'd say it's no riskier an investment than putting my money on wall street at this point.

Also, I fail at posting apparently.

That by far is the most imprtant quality of all. i am impressed by the fact that he is so far up his own ass that he can only smell the shit from his colon and not that of the other side of the camera, he has made a theatrical motion picture i made an anti-drug video in health class four years ago, and a silent movie for a literature class. both of which recieved more postive reviews than Bloodrayne. the only respect that i have for boll is that h is smart enough to keep finding financing for his films which look like they were made by rich high school kids.

And yet, I suspect your film was never released in a theater for all the world to revile. Like I said, you can criticize him all day about his making terrible movies without me rebuking you for it. All I'm saying is, it's a better theatrical movie than I've (or any of us on this board as far as I know) ever done.

I've seen better movies in art house shows. Somehow those art house shows don't seem to make it to the theaters often. That the man can consistantly get his celluloid abuses into theaters is a feat worth of accalim I'd say.
