Yeah, 5:17AM isn't the best start time for me either, but I'll check in at some point after work tomorrow likely, and see what we got there.

The days in Voluspa are rarely the same, with one thing going on or another. However today was promising to be unusual on the scale of things. It seemed that their was a sense of anxiety in the air, which was unprecedented. This would give rise to much fear amongst some and mucg hope amongst others. Precautions had been made and security was stationed on every bridge, walkway, transport, anywhere you could breathe there would be a drone monitoring you closely.

The day would run on schedule, everything run according to a pre-set plan...

Today several individuals will be watched through security cameras:

Ryan McAteer would awake and leave his village, to find his world stranger than he thought. "The farm he had grown up on is to be liquidated and all things to be removed, recycled or handed to caretakers. He was luckier than he thought when he got on this trip, perhaps luck is why the farm had lasted this long despite it's purpose being reached. According to analysts their work was completed years ago. While he was to be put on the trip it's more a form of recycling, if he dosen't come back who cares." "And if he does?" "We'll deal with that then."
The monitor panned as he got onto the transport, his last look at his family he would ever see. At least it was a happy one.

Tig Smith

The camera watched as this cyborg began his routines, watching this "man" wake up could easily spark curiosity, how his live had changed was immeasurable. However when he stoped and saw himself in the mirror the look in his eyes gave security drones a high alert status however this lapse of judgement was quickly replaced with a cold blank stare. "Much better" the security drones dropped into what would appear to be a more docile mood.
This one was a strange choice for the mision, his obvious condition makes him highly susceptable to emotions such as anger and envy. Despite his obvious knack with machines it seemed he would have been an unlikely candidate, however due to pushes from Jonas he was accepted onto the mission citing that improvements in manufacturing was too great to ignore. However given his newly formed condition he could be difficult to manage, as such Alpha protocol will be initiated.

Aeryn Lamar/Roscoe O'Molony

These two where coming in from spire 1268 by chance they walked side by side moving towards the transports in spire 1270. They are currently on a walkway accompanied by a hum of machines, transports dart through the narrow spaces reaching destinations far and wide. A small machine watches them, they don't even shoot it a glance. Perhaps these two were the more likely candidates for this endevour. Roscoe who was perhaps more accustom to the council, he is likely going to be our confederate who is likely to serve our wishes. If it werent for him I wouldn't approve this. As for Aeryn she would likely be able to sum up the knowledge that the outside gained to futher advance our own.

However, away from the prying eyes of others, another less prepared chapter of the story begins, as Rayai Colton awakes to find herself walking, not towards her lab, but making her way towards a transport.

Any errors or info needed PM me I'll be revisioning but I'll refresh for messages every now and then

She was close to a break through. She could feel it, the information she needed was right at her finger tips. However, there was a problem. One small problem that was going to be interesting to fix. The plants she needed were not on Voluspa. The plant that Rayai needed for her experimented existed only as a story told to her from her mother who was told by her mother and so on. Rayai had heard from a coworker that there was a mission group leaving for the outside world. She had every intention of being on that transport.

That particular morning, Rayai awoke early. She packed in her small bag some spare clothes and some of her tools she had taken home from the lab the night before. The botanist smiled as she passed people no one noticed that anything was amiss.

The transport was in spire 1270 ready and awaiting it's persons when Rayai entered the loading dock. Due to the early hour, no one was in the room just yet. The transport sat awaiting it's human cargo as Rayai walked on board. The ship was dark still, having not recieved it's power and start up command from the control room.

Out of her bag, she pulled a small flash light. Using this light, Rayai made her way to the back of the ship and into the store room. There was everything from food packets to barrels and test tubes for sample storage in the room. With a small amount of difficulty, Rayai pulled off the top to one of the barrels and climbed inside. Here, she would wait until the crew boarded and began the journey to the outside world. Carefully, Rayai pulled the lid onto the barrel but not tight. This would enable her to climb out when the time was right. There she sat and slowly drifted off into sleep waiting for the transport to leave so she could find her plant.

I hope that's alright. If there's anything I need to fix, let me know and I'll change it to work.

Aeryn was blinking more and more. The colors she had been seeing were not disappearing. The humming of the machines moving did nothing to help make the colors go away. The bright flashes of orange, yellow, green and red were everywhere. Normally she would blink and they would be gone but today blinking had no such effect. She waited for the transport to arrive and hoped that walking into a new area she would see no more colors.

She was told the reason why she was chosen to leave Voluspa. She didn't understand it but agreed. Aeryn paid no attention to the security system that had been watching her. Instead she tried to look at an object that was grey and dull. The colors weren't exciting but at least they were normal.

She looked at the spire 1270 which would be her transport arriving. As she walks in so does another man. She does not know him and pays him almost no attention. The ship is dark and almost nothing is visible. Aeryn sits down in a seat in the back of the ship. She turns and sees the store room door. All she can see from the door is a bright blue color. She turns away immediately and looks on towards another seat. She decides to look forward for the rest of the trip. She puts her bag in her lap. Aeryn notices that on the ship she can see no colors other than on the door. Only bland shades of grey and black.

I hope this is ok. If its not tell me and I'll fix it to make sense.

Everyone quick note, the notion of parents dosen't exsist. In voluspa, looking at it now it did slip threough in the character sheets... My bad. However I will allow it for Ryan smith due to the aforementioned experiment malarky.

Wish I knew that, ah well, it's not like they were true parents in the sense of the words, I was pretty much programmed labor for them, but I like what you did with the farm idea. Hope this post is good.

Ryan made his way along the deck of the transport that would be ferrying them to the unknown destination. Setting out to find the meager room that had been allocated to him, his lone duffel bag hanging off his lanky body, he went over in his mind what he was doing on this ship and it still didn't really make much sense to him.

With all the cyborgs and robots and stuff in the city at their disposal, why am I being sent out on this expedition? It would be pretty easy just to stick a couple of them on here, and have them do any of the grunt work required, I would think. Ah well, its like Roy always said. "Everything happens for a reason, no matter how big or small."

Ryan looked around, thinking that he saw that fire extinguisher before.

And now for some reason, I'm lost.

Tig started to walk to the Transport. In his mind he still can't believe that he is alive, but at what cost? As he was thinking in his head,he continue his walk as he bump into Ryan. He look at him and saw some sort of..confusion if he could describe it on his face like he was lost.

"I assume you are part of the expedition." His voice was cold sounding and metallic to it. As he breath deeply in his mask that provided help to him. Before he let Ryan talk he simple start to walk again

"If you are then follow me, I don't have time to waste" He was enviousness of the other humans of this city. How he feels something, but can not show it. He wish the accendent never happen and he was the emotionless sap he was before, but now he has emotions, having a hard time dealing with them.

Hope this is good, if need be I'll change what is needed

"It's so close! I can see it. Just two more steps and-" Rayai awoke from her dream feeling stiff and unsettled. The barrel was dark and stuffy; her breath collected on the sides and had begun to drip down. Her muscled ached and beckoned to be stretched, but she knew it was too late to move at all or she could get caught. Her work was too important to risk not leaving the island.

Gently, she sighed as she listend to the quiet sounds of the crew aboard the transport. There was hardly, if any, talking amongst the crew. Rayai wasn't sure whether it was the sound of machinery or human voices she heard. However, there were people aboard; that was a distinct sound. She couldn't tell how many were aboard, but if people were still walking about, Rayai knew she still had a good wait ahead of her.

Well, at least there is someone else here to help guide me through this. Maybe he can tell me what I'm supposed to do.

Ryan spoke slowly to the man helping him, "Yeah, yeah, I'm with the expedition, name's Ryan. And who are you? What's the deal with the mask?"

Sensitivity was not one of Ryan's strong points. With all conversation back on the farm being direct and to the point, not really advancing above "Go milk the cows." "Go feed the turduckens." or "Why are you bleeding like that?", he always just went right to the point of what he wanted to know, not even knowing if he ever touched a nerve. He just wanted to get an answer.

His fist close slightly, always hated being ask that. It seem no one could let that part of his life go, but his anger grew down while he talk and walk.

"It helps me breath as a few other things." as he gave in a cold tone to him. As they reach their destination and Tig got on board, hoping to find a seat to himself so he wouldn't have to deal with people.

Aeryn saw two men enter the ship. One walked to the front while another walked near her her sat down a couple of seats ahead if Aeryn. She noticed his face and how it seemed to have a metal plate of some sort on it.

She looked away and looked at her feet. She was awkward around people so she thought it best just to keep to herself. She still could see the bright blue color coming from the store room door.

[b\]Roscoe O'Molony.[/b]

The day had begun as usual.

He had done a thorough diagnostic of his person, attended to standard hygiene procedures, inspected his housing unit's accomodations and appliances, looking for any flaws or failing machinery. After finishing these personal matters, he enabled security measures, went through the standard system of documentation, and left the spire to find work in the city.

Today was tantamount to every day before. Roscoe would wander the halls and labs, casually taking inquiry for a job to do. Nothing anyone told to him ever gave cause for the mildest of interest or inspiration for any sort of enthusiasm, but neither was he given to disregard or indolence. He acted mildly, and effectively to each task.

His usual route was interrupted, however, stopped by a messenger drone informing him to alter his direction to the nearest transport walkway.

A resolute nod of consent, Roscoe turned on his heel, and set his slumped stride towards "Transport 1270". He thought nothing of why he had to change his routine, reasons eluded him, he did it with the singular thought of getting it over with.

He had a few pangs of regret, he had forgotten to arrange some of his trinkets, and he especially longed to check on them, to see if they weren't damaged. He knew it to be irrational, they were safely stored within a top-of-the-range, high-class, and secure housing unit. Besides, there wan't a being in the city that could commit the crime, and if they did, they would be apprehended and corrected. Instantly.

It was highly improbable in the realm of statistics that his beloved objects would be tampered, harmed, or otherwise set out of order by anyone, or anything... but he was unsettled by the word [i\]improbable[/i].

Not [i\]impossible[/i].

On the surface, he appeared out of tune with the rest of the world, but always snapped to reality at the slightest mention of anything pertaining to him.

He had good hearing.

But... today he was in a cloud, the world was taken up by his beloved gallimaufry. He realized why.

This transport led to the docks. And on them were ships. And those ships are made to [i\]leave[/i] Voluspa.

None of his previous tasks included [i\]leaving[/i] the city itself.

He didn't know how long he would be gone, or how far he away from the city he would be. And for the first time, he began to wonder what he was doing.

It was a day for firsts, another one after that. Not only did he question his superiors actions, now he felt an urge to disobey.

He threw ideas about in his head, he didn't usually think like this unless he was set to a difficult task in machinery, or if he was working around a logic problem he had casually passed by in a lab. Now it was for himself.

And it was depressing.

He couldn't tell them he needed to go back for luggage, everything he needed was on his person, either in a satchel, or on his belt. He had no appointments to see, and he never had that much of an outside life with any friends. He knew of nothing to do.

Outside his mind he remained rather non-descript, he knit his eyebrows in concentration, eyes turned down to the ground. But you'd imagine he was only annoyed by the floor.

He looked up, and saw the ship.

He nodded once.

With a resigned drop of his head, he slouched a little more, put one hand in his jacket, and walked in.

Roscoe immediately took mental note of anything that might need work, shuffling dejectedly to his new quarters.

His aimless gait took him to the commons, within, he noticed a young male with a cloak and mask. A tall, young male with a rural appearance. And another young female, thin, with blue eyes.

Roscoe glanced at each in turn, and decided they didn't need him.

As he sat on his bed, his melancholy washed over, and the cloud over his mind returned.

He missed the city, and hated this ship.

Already?

He forced himself into sleep.

Got your message Masika, I didn't read that part of your char-'s story.

I was in a bit of a hurry.
