Normally I would comment my annoyance, but since the Hlaf-Life Remake article, I'm done with it. Now I'll just bang my head on my desk a few times and call it a day.
I very much suspect Half Life 3 instead of Episode 3. That's no problem for me! ^^z3rostr1fe said:So.... Half-Life 3??
The only other thing I really enjoyed was Portal and TF2 at first, but now TF2 is just a moneymaker for Valve, and they've sapped all of it's heart. I'm completely fine with Valve doing projects on the side(mind you, they're hardly on the side anymore), My only problem with it is why do it with the huge cliffhanger episode 2 left behind, and then forget about your debut title entirely for a couple of years, putting out 'games' like Left 4 Dead and it's sequel instead?Skyy High said:Yeah, it's not like Valve does anything else besides Half-Life, right?
See also: L4D, L4D2, Team Fortress 2, Alien Swarm (FREE), Portal 2 and Steam. Though of course there still are more prolific developers, they haven't exactly been doing nothing to earn praise.Jamboxdotcom said:geez, that's nothing, try being a George R.R. Martin fanboy. 4 years? pshaw!Lance Arrow said:My thoughts exactly.gigastar said:Abridged: We have finally started doing something about it. Now shut up and wait for four more years. If youre a good fanbase, it might happen.
I don't even know why Valve's fanboys still dominate every vote and contest ever considering that Valve has left us hanging for quite some time. You can say 'hang in there' all you want but we've been hangin' for almost four years. Seriously Valve, Our arms are getting mighty tired.
seriously, though, it's good to hear they haven't completely forgotten Half-Life.
Kinda ironic, considering how often Blizzard churns out new games... -_-Plurralbles said:so they really want to win MM don't they? I mean... shit... release the game and then I'll care and vote for you. For now and for forever, BLIZZARD all the way.
I suppose thats close enough to a new engine. At least they've been doing something!bahumat42 said:Unlikely, the source engine has been updated and refined for around a decade, their not gonna throw that out for no reason. Especially seeing some of the progress they have made in lighting physics and flames recently inside the engine. Pretty much everything from episode 2 to now was them messing around trying to improve their engine by branching out, now they have improved it their coming back to their breadwinner.Gxas said:I'll bet they're making a new engine for it.
Speaking of which, I (finally) just finished Portal the other day. I must be one of the only people ever who finds the Source engine extremely clunky and nearly unplayable...
If you Fry The GabeN, everyone will have bacon for atleast 4 years, and I mean EVERYONE.Patrick_and_the_ricks said:If Duke Nukem Forever hits shelves before we have a trailer for Half Life 3 I may have to burn Gabe alive.
(Who wants bacon?)
