I like the vampires from the Anite Blake series.

True undead, need human blood to survive, have mind control and the ability to go into daylight is massively rare.
Also, weak to Silver and crosses or other holy items keep them away.

Classic style, basically.

I like the Vampire Counts in Warhammer. The Five known Bloodlines each have their own (extensive) histories and are pretty diverse in appearance and playing style.

They are:

The Von Carstein :- the aristocratic (and, arguably the ones that most closely fit the classic Dracula archetype) family that ruled Sylvania. They are a jack-of-all-trades, combining command over beasts with combat competence.

The Blood Dragons :- these are less concerned with conquest over nations than they are with achieving physical and martial perfection. As such, they will not be accompanied by hordes of zombies and skeletons, but a corps of hardened knights. The joint most combat-oriented of the bloodlines (along with the Strigoi), the Blood Dragons concern themselves with skill at arms more than brute strength.

The Lahmians :- an (as far as I know) entirely female bloodline, these vampires concern themselves with subtlety and information gathering, infiltrating the higher echelons in Imperial and Bretonnian society. Perhaps the second most proficient at Sorcery.

The Necrarch :- these vampires are reclusive, withered and perhaps best resemble a cross between Nosferatu and a corpse. These are physically the weakest of the vampire bloodlines, yet are still capable of fighting off mortal attacks. The objectives of the Necrarch are to study every aspect, every facet, every single iota of magic, especially Necromancy. Their knowledge and studies make them the most proficient at Sorcery.

The Strigoi :- these are the outcasts, formerly aristocrats in themselves until the destruction of their kingdom of Strigos. Forced to hide from the Hunters, and soon the other bloodlines, the Strigoi became scavengers, waiting outside cemeteries and graveyards to drink the cold blood of the recently deceased. Their bodies, once humanoid, became akin to hulking gargoyles. However, their abilities to command the dead still avails them, and they are arguably the physically strongest of the bloodlines.

My personal favourite right here. :)
Now this I can agree on, Hellsing does an excellent job with adding more to the vampire mythos, and how their destructive capabilities can be used for the defence of a nation.

I personally prefer the ones from the Old World of Darkness (what is this New World of Darkness you speak of?). They're clinically dead (room body temperature, atrophied internal organs, only need air to talk), stronger, faster and more durable than humans, wide arrange of powers based on their bloodline, wooden stakes paralyze them if it catches them in the heart, highly vulnerable to fire and they become ash on the sun. They also do not have to kill while feeding and, in fact, this is a big part of the whole role-playing experience.

I can't believe no one mentioned the Blood Omen/Legacy of Kain vampires.
I mean, Kain is one badass character right out of the door, but you throw in nigh immortality, the ability to drink blood without contact with the victim and being the wielder of the Soul Reaver, and you've got a character whose presence alone is enough to strike fear into the hearts of all vampire hunters.
Plus, he's voiced by Simon Templeman, and that is simply awesome.

Edit: Sorry 'bout the double post.

I liked the Vampires from 30 days of night (The Movie Adaption) (i also liked the movie but i seem to be pretty alone with this)

Feral but organized and somewhat intelligent, wich makes them not only creepy because they actually plan thier attacks, but because they seem to have a kind of sadistic joy in what they do.
And even though they appear mostly human, they don't care about masquerading or any kind of vanity (as depicted by them being messily blood soaked).

Pretty uncanny and scary.
