Classical vampires, with the appearance of Twilight vampires.
I mean, not sparkly and shit, but seriously, they should atleast wear clothes that are considered normal in the 21st century, not like the classical Dracula has, to atleast hide the fact that they're vampires (easier to kill when you're not suspicious, like wearing black robes).

Can only be killed by:
Daylight
Decapitation
Steak to the heart
Must have:
Need to drink blood for sustenance
Enhanced speed and strength
Possibly flight/ability to turn into a bat
Ability to sire familiars/other vampires
Vulnerability (not fatal) to crosses and garlic

Personally, I like how they're presented in the old Dracula films. Where they can do things like fly and turn into bats and drink blood and are killed by a steak through the heart or lots of sunlight. I miss those times.
Vampires should:
Be vulnerable to sunlight
Stronger, faster, more powerful than actual humans and know it
See humans as a food source and little else
They have no soul
Decapitation/brain damage is the only effective way to kill them
Above all else, the should never, ever, even in the face of certain death, sparkle. NEVER!!!

The should be... not pussies. Everything I can think of has already been said, so yeah they should be badass and not be weird pedophiles who sparkle. Just sayin'.

I think that Vampires should look somewhat like a human being, with a few slight differences. Their skin is extremely pale, and both females and males have long dark coloured hair. Their eye colour is dark, however when on the hunt for prey they turn blood red. Vampires teeth are the exact same as a humans, except for when they're hunting, thats when they go all pointy.
They are weaker in sunlight then when in the dark, but being in the sunlight doesn't kill them. They can't defy gravity and walk upside down, nor can they turn into bats or other kinds of animals.
They should have a mysterious yet elegant personality. They are masters of making people trust them and when they least expect it the vampires will kill them.
