VGAs - Game of the Year

Went to Red Dead Redemption.

The nominees were:

Red Dead Redemption
Call of Duty: Black Ops
God of War III
Halo: Reach
Mass Effect 2

Made me extremely happy that it beat out Black Ops, 'cause it was ridiculous that Black Ops won character of the year. >.<

How'd you guys like the VGAs this year (assuming you watched it)?

Then Neil Patrick Harris won Voice Actor.

Then Black Ops won best character.


And I died a lot on the inside.

I didn't see it, though as far as GOTY goes I would have given it to Mass Effect 2, or maybe Reach.

I heard about the results from a source who shall remain anonymous, but I'm happy Game of the Year went to Red Dead. It's not my personal choice, but it certainly deserves it.

I'm just glad it didn't go to Black Ops. Personally, RDR was my choice, but likely because I haven't played Mass Effect yet, let alone Mass Effect 2.

Red Dead deserves it, but I refuse to watch the VGA's. All the cool reveals are instantly put online, anyways.

Though I have to say, it sounds like there was some effort to make the show less shallow. Can someone who watched tell me whether or not it was any better this year?

Red dead definetly deserved game of the year, and I'm glad it did.

But I was way more happy that Black Ops won best character. Hellz yeah Woods!

Mass effect 2 should of gotten it. What is it with Spike's bias against RPG's?

Meh, didn't really like the choices of GOTY. But then again I don't care much for these things. I just watch for the trailers.

Like Skyrim. That has me very excited. Like hardcore.

I was rooting for ME2, but RDR is a worthy winner.
Was kinda disappointed with the announcements though, only one that was surprising was elder scrolls 5.

I'm more surprised that GOTY didn't go to Mass Effect 2. I thought they basically ruined the show when they announced studio of the year, since Studio of The Year (usually) = Game of The Year, but Mass Effect 2 actually didn't get as much attention as Uncharted 2 did. I gotta give credit to humanity for at least being able to slightly blind me in my future-seeing powers.
