Bioware because their games define Western RPGs and Bungie becasue almost no one who's ever owned a Halo game can ever say they've never had fun either online or in the campaign.

Also Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake was far from a good game. Stick to God of War. Damn you wikipedia, fix your sh*t.

most old companies have been around long enough to have handed out at least one shit-stick for the wetalds out there(was gona give a cookie for reference, but it would be to easy). So that basically leave the new devs that havent put out enough games to **** up yet. Im gona have to go with valve on this one, looking through their catalog (cuz it was short enough to look through, i have enjoyed every game valve made (even L4D2, even though it should have been just DLC).

I will avoid cheating by naming one hit wonder developers, and just say Valve and Blizzard. They are always good.

My altime favorite would be Blizzard however because so far all the games they have made I have had fun on. And they were rated really high too.

Yeah, I had a feeling Valve would invade this thread. Can't say the same myself, with not having played all their games.

However, if it's based on what I have played, then Valve, Bethesda, Bioware are right up there.

Also, say what you want about them, but Obsidian Entertainment. I was one of the few poor soulless beings who actually enjoyed Neverwinter Nights 2 and despite the bugs I'm having fun with Alpha Protocol.

You're going to get a lot of people saying Valve (like you said), and I'm one of those people. L4D2 is the only mildly disappointing game of theirs I've ever played--and only in comparison to the first L4D (it just didn't have the same polish in my opinion). I still love the game, and I'm probably about to be burned as a witch, but there you go.

Also, BioWare is awesome. I've only played a few of their games, but the one's I've sampled are awesome, and the rest are supposed to be awesome too.
