Any game where you've been using a party member to provide healing for your team in the middle of battles, and your character is injured in a cutscene, and your healer won't use the heal spell that you *know* they have. Which is why I think that if they're going o try to injure your character in a cutscene, they should incapacitate the whole party through some means, just so that it can make some fucking sense.

In RTS: When attacking a base that was already there, why is there any metal/ore/gold/whatever-resources left? You can build a base and strip mine it in under one hour, that enemy base was there for weeks at least. Or, if the resources are infinitely renewable: Why hasn't the entire map been covered by top tier units, that were payed for by mining the infinite recourses for 3 weeks straight.

In a fantasy rpg: Not only does no-one think of using phoenix downs or heals in cutscenes, no-one except your party seems to ever use them. If you arive at a village that has just been attacked and many people are dead or wounded, no-one will be using any items to fix it. Worse, sometimes there's still a shopkeeper in the town, STILL SELLING the potions.

As mentioned, stealth games: Why do guards keep assuming that it's nothing, even though they've seen you run passed several times, and have seen several of their commrades get knocked out/killed.

Brawl Physics has become a phrase for things that are just too odd. Brawl physics always seem a bit screwy (Falcon Punch towards the right sends guy flying to the left is a common oddity). When something in gaming goes crazy (like a car in Just Cause 2 goes flying randomly), I declare that it is a result of Brawl Physics.

You use small, animal like creatures that can only say their names to beat up on each other using dangerous things like blades, fire, electricity and such, and NO ONE calls the APL...really?

The ability of a character in an action games during the cut scenes you see the protagonist defeating waves of enemies in single blows yet when the fight actually starts it takes a great deal longer..its even worse if you die..damn you Bayonetta!!

The Morph-Ball from Metroid. I'm not complaining but...what...? Not only is it never really explained how it works, but why would you build a funciton like that into a suit of armour? And WHY are all the crevices too small for a standing person also conveniently Morph-Ball sized?
It's not that small, it's over a meter across, wouldn't it just be easier to belly down and crawl in most cases? Also why can't Samus punch aliens when they run up and try to eat her face? (and the knee-spikes on her suit, those things would be deadly if she thought to use them!)
Also how does Link carry so much STUFF?

Being a gamer has thought me to never go the direct route. Always take every detour and dead end first, to make sure no loot is forgotten, no enemy left unhacked.
The wrong way is the right way I always say.
Or conversely, whenever traveling on the world map, always go as the bird flies, regardless of what mountains, swamps, or dangers lie in the way. Roads? What are those? (especially in the Mako sections in ME1).
Christ don't remind me.....majority of the game achievment was so not worth it....... actually with ME2 it was.

"Gee...I hope nobody notices these glaring green lights on my head".
Apparently they were only visible to the player - they were there to help show where Sam was in complete darkness (without the night vis. turned on obviously).

Okay... we all know that Da Vinci did not invent a hidden wrist-pistol, but assuming he did... how the hell isn't Ezio's arm suffering 3rd degree burns EVERY TIME he fires it? In fact... every time he fires the damn thing, he should be screaming in pain. And... if you do think that Da Vinci invented a wrist-pistol... then feel free to move to the Kingdom of Idiots, I'm sure you'd fit right in.
Of course Da Vinci didn't - Altair did using the Apple then Da Vinci made one for Ezio using Altair's design.

Shooting a switch doesn't break it, that's how they are supposed to work.

No evil base is complete without red exploding barrels scattered around.

Is it scary that i have trouble not being able to recall an evil base without red exploding barrels?

I have a primary weapon and a secondary weapon. I have lotsa ammunition for them. Everytime I reload, my ammunition goes back to my magic ammunition pile.

Alternatively, carrying around 1400 rounds of pistol ammo in GTAIV. Where do you keep that? How do you carry it around!? On top of EVERYTHING else?

The most important part is fun, and I still had more fun with the old SC games than I have with Conviction so far, but for the sake of the topic of this thread, that part always made me feel really silly.

/Conviction is fun too
/Just not as fun
The green lights are there for easily locating Fisher in the dark. They don't show up on other players in multiplayer, for example.

I'm just so full of useless trivia :p

also, Silent Hill 2: even though you've made all your way through a load of places with a ton of stuff just fine, you simply CANNOT get on the hotel's service elevator if you have ANYTHING(except 1 map and 1 photo) on you...not even a wooden plank, not even a flashlight and not even a portable radio (mind you, I loved SH2, but that part was just incomprehensible...)

The physics in Super Smash Brothers. and double jumping. Double jumping never made any sense.
