I supose an oposite example would be the boss from saints row 2
He/She is almost insane and really not any better than the rest of the gangs and crosses the line more and more
but Because of the over-the-top nature of the game, and that you customized this charachter you can almost forgive them for the evil they have done

I hated Desmond Miles, the Prince in PoP from 2008, Tidus, Vaan (who isn't even the actual main character of the story), Kratos...
I want to say I hated the cast of FFXIII, but I can't say that, because I didn't really hate any of them (except Snow), I just didn't care about any of them. The list above contains characters I legitimately disliked, and that's at least satisfying when they die. But an entire cast of characters I don't care about might be worse... Not sure...

I'm currently in my second play through and still have absolutely no attachment to Jacob. The only reason I'm going to do his loyalty mission is because it's fun and I think it's great to make his dad commit suicide. Don't judge me, it's a video game. he's not real. I just hate the fact that every time you bring a new team member onto the Normandy Jacob decides that you need his advice on whether or not to trust them. I don't ever use him in missions so I have no idea why he thinks just because he was the first person I ran into after being brought back to life that we're now best buddies. Also, you made a comment about him being so nice, I think that's part of it. No one is that nice all the time. And the whole saluting me all the time thing. Oh it bothers me so much. I'm not much of a fan of Jack either. I guess if your name starts in Jac in ME 2 I don't like you. But at least Jack has a personality. Jacob just kinda seems like a mindless soldier who feels the need to tell me what to do. The first time I played it I did pretty much an 11 hour marathon session with some friends over and throughout the whole game my friends and I kept saying: "I wanna throw a rock at your head, Jacob." And we all cheered when he took a rocket to the face. It made me happy.Vault101 said:

Man, I had absolutely no sympathy for him at all when he was remotely relatable then they just him a emo manchild who's just constantly angry and kills everything for no reason. Though once you just get into the 'This game has no story value so just skip all cut-scenes.' mode, it became really enjoyable.

I see youre point, Im on another playthrough now and while Im still mainly paragon I am mixing it up a bit with some renegade (not the real jerkass stuff) though it dose make Shepard seem a bit like he/she has bi-polarCheesepower5 said:
