Video games that stir your emotions

well the game that made me feel close to charecters would be half life 2....alex man

a game that made me cry at the credits would be halo 3....oh chief seeing your face....or erm helmet after the credits made me cheer in pure joy.

and the game that piseed me off but made me a tad depressed would be the ending to RDR....mostly the free rome after you beat the game story FULLLY.....im not going to spoil anything but if you played it you know what im talking about.

Heavy Rain. Felt a new kind of fear in that game, meaning the reality that if you screw up your character might die or his/her path might take a wrong turn and that's that.

Outcast (had to mention this one!)

Aliens vs Predator 1 & 2 (1999 & 2001, both quite scary)
Grand Theft Auto 4 (friggin' hated Dimitri, shot him in the nuts)
Red Dead Redemption

ME2, seeing how Tali was so timid and shy and then got all perky and bubbly after you say you're attracted to her. The longing in her voice when she speaks about touching you...

The ending of Yume Nikki, assuming you can figure that game out, and Tali's loyalty mission in ME2.

Metal Gear series hands down. Peace Walker, MGS3, Portal Ops, MGS, MGS4, and all of em. The death scene in Portable Ops was heart wrentching. So was the ending of MGS3, Peace Walker definatly pulled and tugged at me. Snake and The Boss's bond is really strong. The ending of MGS4, specialy Big Boss's speach. The non-cannon ending of MGS, and of course Gray Fox's death and the aftermath. Just alot of really deep scenes that I tear up just thinking about.

Have to agree with HL2 Ep2. Wow, that was a shock.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 made me feel several different emotions. Mainly guilt at doing anything bad. Then of course, there was the Kaiden/Ashley choice. Watching someone else's run of the final mission in ME2 where EVERYONE dies was horrific. Even my own playthrough of ME2 when I took too long doing side-missions before doing the final mission. That sure showed me!

GTA IV's finale was quite emotional too.

Actually anyone remember 007 Nightfire? It was a good few years ago but I remember being really shocked when they killed that female character(name?!) near the end.

Speaking of guilt, Oblivion. After being the good guy the whole through and never refusing to help anyone and finishing the main quest, I was just leaving the Imperial City. A small fellow asked me to kill some fish for him as he was scared. I chose the 'laugh in face' option. He ran off saying how horrible a person I was and a terrible hero. I felt very bad and decided to help him but he refused me. Felt so bad!

When Nathan Hale turned into a chimera and then got shot in the head by Capelli. That part made me sad, especially since it turned out that Capelli was right the whole time.
