Video games with enough story depth and lore that could be made into a t.v.series?

You know, this is actually a fantastic idea. Games are much more similar to TV shows then movies when you think about it. They'd probably translate much better. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble coming up with any games that haven't already been said a billion times(Bioshock, Fallout, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Halo). Infamous might work as a kinda dark kid's show, I suppose.

Seriously though, I can't get over how awesome a Bioshock TV series would be. It would be kinda like the "political" subplots from Battlestar Galactica, but instead of being broken up by awesome space battles, they'd be broken up by UNDERWATER MUTANT GANGSTER FIGHTS. This is quite possibly the best idea anyone has ever had, ever. And, of course, the last few seasons would cover Rapture's decent into madness. It might have to end differently then the games, though. I'm thinking Rapture would have to be completely destroyed for the ending to really work.

Assassin's Creed would be really interesting, get J.J Abrams to do it. It would make no sense at any point but would be so compelling that you just have to tune in each week. Altair's ghost is the smoke monster.
And this is a close second. The series' crazier, more convoluted stuff is right up that guy's alley.

Well... Dragon Age is becoming a web-series, i believe starring Felicia Day.
That should be very interesting. IDK maybe... well Star Wars is a no brainer, i think they did animated Halo, maybe Elder Scrolls. THat would be awsome.

I think fallout would make a good T.V show. I imagine it would be something like The Walking Dead. Long as they don't mess with the canon. Would also be pretty cool to have the events of the games affect the show. A scene where the main character hides in an abandoned subway as a fleet of vertibirds fly to the North (or south could work...just not east or west I guess) with Enclave insignia on them. BUT THE ABANDONED BUILDING He/She WALKS INTO IS FULL OF GHOULS!!!!! Where he meets...raiders!!! So the main character...distracts the ghouls chasing him/her with the raiders! Then he/she escapes and sees...a town in the distance! But when he/she get's there...it's full of slavers!!! He/She slowly backs away but has to pretend to be a buyer when found! Unable to bluff the slavers he/she...runs and hides in a room! When he/she thinks he/she's completely buggered he/she see's a computer and...hacks it! Just barely! and...it controls a old turret! And...I feel like reading some fan-fiction.
Oh hell yeah that would be amazing. Fallout 3 has perfect setting to hit home to viewers in the U.S. Good idea dude.

Lot of same otions... Ok half the stuff is what I'd watch too, but here's few games most have probably forgoten(or never heard of):

Freelancer(tight packed space combat, good story and as a tv-show it has potential for non-story driven episodes), Silent Storm(Band of Brothers meet Dirty Dozen), Evil Genius(think of Bond movie but reversed roles)
