There was this one mission in Just Cause 2 that made me ragequit. Several times. I haven't played it since.

Persona 3 and Persona 4. The battle segments are way too complicated and time-consuming.

COD 5 on veteran. Damn-near impossible.
However, I also gave up on Splinter Cell Conviction because it was way too easy. Even on Realistic difficulty.

Metroid Prime 2.

I aced Metroid Prime (after starting Prime 2, funnily enough) but I can't get past the God damn Boost Ball Guardian. That fucker is a thorn in my side, so apparently I just don't play it anymore.

There are some others too... they may come to me with time. Or a glance at my game collection.

I wasn't very good at Supreme Commander either.

Mass Effect was a cover-based shooter that didn't have any cover. I got sick of it's lackluster combat pretty quickly (due to dying so much).

Devil May Cry 3. But this thread has me thinking I should give it another go. Maybe I suck less now? :p

Pretty Much Every Final Fantasy I've ever played. I've played 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 10, and 1 was the only one I beat. This was mostly because of that horrible habit final fantasy games have of having a difficulty curve like a gentle stroll followed by a brick wall, I could never motivate myself to grind to a high enough level to get through the final bosses.

I gave up on God of War 3 because I cannot get past the final boss fight. I loved the rest of the game and the trilogy as a whole but that last bit just doesn't seem possible. What makes it worse is I think its the only game I currently have that I haven't beaten. (I like to finish things!)

Ninja Gaiden 2. I made it to the last boss, but spent my money on stupid shit, so I could never beat it. I saved, so I was stuck with no heal items and I had to kill 3 bosses. I've yet to beat it, I doubt I'll ever try again.

Sonic Heroes, I got sick and tired of those fucking special stages.

Star Trek: Legacy, I couldn't get past the early NextGen mission where you're supposed to prevent the stellar debris from hitting the various planets.

Persona 3, Nyx is one cheap-ass ************!

Call of Duty 4 on veteran difficulty in the mission: One Shot One Kill. I beat the rest of the campaign no problem but when I died on the 100th time for this mission, I just skipped it and moved on. Its still the only mission in Cod4 that I havn't beat on veteran and if it wasn't for the enemies ridiculous accuracy when you try to pick up MacMillan and bring him to the heli then I would have beaten it. Then again, I still perfer trying to beat that then trying to beat Cod2 on veteran *shivers*.

Dwarf Fortress. I'm ok for a challenge and seeing Let's Plays like Boatmurdered I know what an awesome game it is but my god there isn't a tutorial in the world good enough for that thing.

Which part? Maybe I can give you some pointers.

OT: I actually gave up on the God of War 3 on Chaos difficulty. That difficulty made the second hardest difficulty seem like Normal.
