This is hands down be the best voice acting I've ever heard in my life.
Gears 2 scene, when Dom finds Maria.

Heavy Rain and Pascal Langdale in particular.

Many people probably disagree with that, but I think that both Nathan Drake and Ethan Mars came out as very likeable (in severely different ways) because of the VA talent.
Nolan North is a good voice actor and all, but he has the Michael Cera problem. Where as Michael Cera can only play an awkward teenager, Nolan North can only play a handsome and suave tough guy with short brown hair...

And I was just watching some Heavy Rain scenes and I had forgotten how good the voice acting was. You could honestly convince me it was a big budget Hollywood movie.

And say what you want, I love the voice acting in Metal Gear Solid. Take any of the games and nearly every performance seems sincere and emotional. And the fact that its an English dub makes it even more surprising. Sure there are the awkward moments (such as the ending of MGS1... it was so good up until that last little conversation...) but nearly everything sounds great.

I've got to go with Rob Wiethoff. He played John Marston in Red Dead Redemption and that has absolutely got to be one of the most well acted parts I've ever seen in any game.

Him, and also David Hayter of Solid Snake fame. I just can't get past how awesome his voice it! "METAL GEAR!"

Proffesor Layton, i don't know if it is the best but it is the best of what i know, i wanted to say Hotel Dusk Room 215, but i don't think it had voice acting, it probably is just my good remambrence of it (there was a word for how old things look awesomer but i can't remember)

Mike Patton as The Darkness. He's just so evil.

The best cast in a game has to be Fire Warrior. It had Brian Blessed, Sean Pertwee, Burt Kwok. It was fun.

I knew I wasn't the only one who thought that.

surely it's got to be Bioshock's Atlas!? Garrrdahhm sploicers!

But on a serious note I'd have to agree with Mass Effect 2. Oblivion and Fallout obviously had your movie star narrators, which was cool, but Mass Effect took real movie talent and actually gave them screen time and a padded character to boot. Not such a big fan of the male Shephard voice talent (his name escapes me, so I'll use the placeholder Dull McFlat), but Jennifer Hale impressed me as lady Shephard in both games, lending some actual feeling to her lines and producing a much more noticeable difference between Paragon and Renegade dialogue than the male. Which is really a shining example of the extra difficulty in voice acting for games with branching narratives and dialogue.

And David Hayter as Solid Snake/Big Boss, of course. Not so much love for the rest of the MGS cast who were distressingly chirpy for a pretty sombre series.

Julia Murney as Dr. Janine Park in Dreamfall, whose voice is to be heard on the datacube you find in the lab under the factory in St. Petersburg. That is all.

I can only think of Will Arnett as Matt Hazard and NPH as the bad guy, but I think I'll come back and edit if I think of something else.

Code Geass - Suzaku Kururugi
Naruto - Sasuke Uchiha
Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War - Larry 'Pixy' Foulke (voice segments only, uncredited)
Bayonetta - Luka (uncredited), Angel Attack announcer (uncredited)
Lucky Star - Konata Izumi
MAR - Dorothy
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Haruhi Suzumiya
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - Scorpina (voice, as Wendee Swan), Stag Beetle (voice, uncredited)
Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories - Rozalin, Taro (uncredited)
Hellsing, Hellsing Ultimate - Alucard
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Kyon
Naruto Shippuden - Itachi Uchiha, Ebisu
Kingdom Hearts II - Setzer Gabbiani, Will Turner
Rogue Galaxy - Gale Dorban/Jaus
Code Geass R2 - Gino Weinberg, Gao Hai
Naruto Shippuden - Kakashi Hatake, Gamakichi, Gamatatsu
Samurai Champloo - Ryujiro Sasaki, Kagemaru, Tatsunoshin Niwa, Hankichi Otawa
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children - Yazoo
GUN - Soapy Jennings
Cowboy Bebop - Spike Spiegel
Naruto - Zabuza Momochi, Orochimaru, Murasame, Sazanami
Killer7 - Kenjiro Matsuoka, Benjamin Keane, Trevor Pearlharbor
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops - Gene

he was great, i think it was the same actor who did Isaac Clarke from Dead Space

but uncharted 2 has my vote, the woman who voiced chloe frazer is one of the few non-english-doing-an-english-accents that doesnt annoy me

Martin Sheen as the Illusive Man. It was an ace performance with virtually no mistakes or issues. He got the characters personality and it made the performance even better.

And Ron is good in my books. Because after all, War? War never changes.
