Dr. Nefarious, mainly because he provides some of the most outrages moments in the Ratchet and Clank sega. I picked him, mainly, because I couldn't really think of many well thought of villians in the game industry.

Jon Irenicus from Baldur's Gate II was absolutely brilliant. Bodhi was good as well, but Irenicus always overshadowed her. He was one of the most evil, and yet best characterised villains ever; he has a really deep backstory in comparison to most game villains. A ridiculously powerful mage, as well.

Agreed Eggman is a stupid name, it will always be Robonik for me. I think they tried to cover this on a Sonic cartoon saying that Robotnik was his grandfather think it was Sonic X

just having another thought here...would anyone consider Gravemind from Halo or the G-Man from half life a villain?

Gravemind would be interesting, because the flood is seen as the villian, but they're really primitive life-forms, and infecting other organisms is how they survive.

Exactly, they're simply antagonist.

Which seems to be something that many people forget.
