That is how I have felt throughout the whole of the new series.Plinglebob said:I didn't like it *hides*
I thought Matt Smith was great as always and I really liked the idea behind it, but for some reason it never really grabbed me.
I think the monster was more meant to symbolise the depression of Vincent. I think that's why it was invisible.Private Custard said:I really enjoyed it and thought that Van Gogh was a great character. I was almost teary-eyed at the ending. I just thought it was a really nice touch, and acted well......without the overbearing heartstring tugging of the later Tenant episodes.
I thought the story took a back seat to the characters this week. The monster was fairly useless, but the rest kept me watching.
Plus, without Rory, Amy seems much sexier!
I'm curious about this. What would you say is wrong and what would be the standard "good" episode you'd hold it to?V TheSystem V said:That is how I have felt throughout the whole of the new series.
Yeah, but if you're sad enough to watch the torchwood episode (like me) where the cyberman is hidden away, there is a distinct simerlarity with the light behind the door which we saw.Disaster Button said:Actually..Lt.Snuffles said:Cybermen m'thinksFlamezdudes said:GREAT Episode. Very good, it was quite emotional. I didn't cry but it was THAT good. I'm wondering what next episode is gonna be about since the preview didn't show that much.
OT: Really good episode, loved the bit at the end.
The Original Cybermen show up in the double part finale episodes, along with almost every other villain from the show.
Flood of tears for me and my family, but then we are all unsold artists.The_root_of_all_evil said:One word. Awesome.
Edit: I actually cried it was that good.

I felt like pointing them all out since all three are done by members of the Escapist TARDIS Crew group.
I remember that episode actually so I suppose it could have been but I doubt they'll have the Cybermen show up out of nowhere if they're going to be in the finale. Besides I'm not a great fan of Cybermen so I hope its something new and gruesome.Lt.Snuffles said:Yeah, but if you're sad enough to watch the torchwood episode (like me) where the cyberman is hidden away, there is a distinct simerlarity with the light behind the door which we saw.Disaster Button said:Actually..Lt.Snuffles said:Cybermen m'thinksFlamezdudes said:GREAT Episode. I honestly wondered if that had been ident failure like Graham Norton. I can sort of see why they did it but still... Invisible turkeys?Optimus Hagrid said:I laughed so hard at the "If you have been affected by any of the issues portrayed in the episode..." part at the end. Trust me when I say one of the reasons I wasn't a big fan of the episode is why they needed that on the end.The_root_of_all_evil said:I honestly wondered if that had been ident failure like Graham Norton. ....I am Spy said:I loved it. Best episode of the series so far for me and it was great that it focused on the character of Van Gogh rather than the monster, which was simply a metaphor for his depression. For the most part wonderfully acted and shot, although Amy and the Doctor had a few shaky moments. I'm looking forward to next week, which will be especially good if James Corden pulls out a brilliant performance.
According to a few rumours, the doctor is stranded without the Tardis and Amy for a week, hence the renting a room, and Karen Gillan is only listed in the cast as a cameo. So expect very little of her and lots of Matt Smith and James Corden being awesome.
Flamezdudes said:NO! AMY CAN'T LEAVE. SHE'S WONDERFUL AND... sorry about that but she can't leave even for an episode!
