She's whoring herself out. I'm intrigued how she could call this 'empowering' when she's just reduced herself physically to a mere monetary worth. Whether she's being payed 3.7 million or 5 bucks, the title and implications are the same, but we're just haggling price. Disgusting.

Technically, the same could be said of, say, a plumber.

No, the same couldn't be said.
Plumbing is a trade. A needed one at that. It serves a tangible and useful service to a community.
Prostitution is more of a desperate, selfish, and lonely attempt to grasp at some degree of intimacy that could otherwise not be gotten without paying some girl who may or may not be there of her own volition. It's a sad and lonely person who needs a prostitute, and it's a sad and lonely person who sells themselves like that.

This is wrong on so many levels... I mean, geeze.

I can't believe there are people out there who would want to whore themselves out so willingly, objectifying themselves and taking advantage of the kind of unusual people willing to spend nearly $4million dollars on it.

And to top it off, she'll be rubbish... she'll be in pain, neither party will probably enjoy it much and so on. I can only hope among hopes that the person she eventually says wins has a full STD check and she doesn't ruin her educational aspirations by ending up pregnant... but then with $3.7 million in the bank she could afford the child, or maybe she could just auction that too seeing as nothing is sacred anymore.

Also, I'm a tiny bit surprised by the lack of anatomical knowledge displayed in some of the responses here... but I suppose a lot of you are young and haven't had in depth biology lessons or sex ed.

I was being facetious, mainly because I didn't want the topic to be a debate on the legality or morality of prostitution. What i was interested in was the value of virginity, and why some people value it so highly.
