I have a face... NOT FOR THE TELIVIZONZ.

But I always had this thought in my head about doing voice acting for Videogames and/or Anime. The idea always sorta appealed to me. I mean I have NO idea how to get into the business or the perks or nuffin'. But hey it's a cool idea right?

Anyone else ever think about it?

I look up the voice actors and read their biographies you'd be suprised how many do multiple characters from games.

But as for working as one I don't have the voice for it but if you want to go nuts.

Sure, it would be fun to voice a character. Unless of course, you're Misa from Death Note's English Dub, in which case her actress needs to find a new job.

Not only would I love to do that, but I've been told that I'd be great at it. So yeah, I've thought about it... a lot. Acting, be it live action of voice overs, is a dream of mine.

I have but I have a bit of a problem. I can't do a ton of voices, I can only do a few. I can do a ton of accents with those voices, but I don't think I could make it as a voice actor.

I'd love to do it, although I can't do different voices and I tend to either speak too quietly or too loudly.

Yeah, I actually took a class for it once. The teacher was a ***** though, and I didn't stick around.

Given the choice, I'd prefer to to do story and dialogue writing. Wages in VO are total shit.

No, my natural voice is a Welsh accent. I can do very stereotypical impressions of Eastern European, Southern States of America, and Westcountry accents. Also, I can do a good William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, Mr Garrison and sometimes Nicholas Cage impression.

It's possible and fun if you have a unique voice. I don't know yet, I'm not out of puberty yet, so my voice tone still goes a bit up and down at times.

I've thought about it a few times. I'm not great with accents and stuff, but I suppose I can, y'know, act with my voice.
I doubt I'd ever actually give it a go, though. From what I hear, the pay isn't great, and actually making it as a voice actor is nigh impossible.

I have been told I have the perfect voice and demeanour for radio/audio work. I would actually like to be a voice actor especially seen as how I have a wide lexicon of accents.

I suppose I'm in the same boat, I actually have considered radio broadcasting in the past as well. I have a good voice and a degree of acting talent that was enough to have me noticed by my teachers back then. I've also been told I can sing quite well though I don't personally believe that to be the case.

I have considered voice acting in both animation in gaming, but the honest truth is I wouldn't even know where to begin to seek employment in the field. I'm also horribly located for such a thing as Houston isn't exactly the entertainment center of the country.

It's unbelievably difficult. You need to be able to come up with many different characters with different tones, personalities, and accents and you need to be able to do all of them interchangeably and with a high degree of consistency. A good test to see if you actually have it nailed is to take one of your "voice characters" and do a scene where that character imitates the voice of one of your other characters. Hats off to anyone that can actually pull that off.
