I was on my 360 the other day, looking through my Netfix suggestions, when I came upon an anime series called Queen's Blade. I'll admit I was intrigued by the box art and thus put it into my instant queue. Upon watching the first episode the other day, it slowly dawned on me....this is porn! Needless to say, I watched the other three episodes in an attempt to refute my hypothesis, being the brilliant scientific mind that I am, and discovered that I was correct, this series is porn! Anyway.. for me, it was probably half way through an anime series (cant remember the name) but about three episodes in girls and guys were screwing left and right,s o i was like, yeah. this is porn. O fcoures i watched the next ten episodes cuase it was all the same.

Umm, that series is pretty much all giganto boobies and nipples showing (with occasional panty fan service for time to time), and I'd rate this along the same level as your basic teen horror slasher for the amount of skin showing.

But then again I did grow up where basic nudity was deemed okay for regular airwaves in the evenings as long as there was a disclaimer(basic being yer nips and occasional butt shot, well before NYPD Blue did so btw), so yeah I can admit nipples and breasts don't hit the alarm button so much. Full frontal below the belt displays are where it does begin to dabble into the 'porn' moniker though. Which I do believe is also the state of mind concerning this in Japan.

Anyway, I do have to mention the end of the first ep of QB did cause a huge WTF moment for me. I simply was not expecting a fight to be won in such a manner.

Well, there was the Evangelion doujin "Retake", and I got...a bit surprised. Nonetheless, I read all six volumes and can say that it was actually very good (story-wise here, not in "other" senses, though I can't exactly put that down so...*sheepish grin*).

Same for me, but I stopped upon realization of what most doujinshi were.

A man named Hayao Miyazaki is disappointed in your foolish statement. Before condemning all Japanese animation to the porn bucket, please take some time out to check out his filmography.

That said, a disproportionate amount of anime can be heavy on the fanservice (titties, pantyshots, and other such things) and frankly it can distract from what might be an otherwise solid idea or series. A very good aversion of this is Ah..My Goddess which is genuinely heartwarming and funny.

I've watched about three episodes of Queen's Blade, and I've loved every absurd and insane second of it. You need a special kind of crazy to make a chick shooting acidic breast milk as a weapon to strip her opponents of their armour and clothes entertaining as opposed to nauseating.

Ikki Tousen is a good example of this genre also but with a slightly less insane plot.
