Have you ever noticed something just hidden or never talked about ingame, that was just so painfully obvious, that you just feel stupid afterwards, either it be you finally finding it out, or someone telling you, has this ever happened to you, and with what?...

I just realized yesterday, that my Pipboy in Fallout 3 had a built in flashlight in it that was toggled by holding down the Tab button longer.(have been playing Fallout 3 for the past 3-4 months now)

For splinter cell on the Gamecube. I forgot about that split jump you can do. I just always found another way around.

I beat Burnout (the first one) without using boost, wondering what that bar on the bottom is for. Sometimes I beat even the easiest bosses then come back to it later, like a month or so, and have no effin clue how to fight it like Screaming Mantis in MGS4 or some DMC boss, etc.

Why did you beat me to that joke?

And I didn't know how to use in-game text chat in Steam for a bit.

I played the deku tree in ocarina of time for about 6 months before realising how to set fire to a web on the ground. Well, I say figured out. I got a friend to do it for me.

then I got to the water temple in a couple of months (it took me a long time as I was about 8) and had to brutally murder myself because of it.

This really happens a lot during boss battles, due to the lack of time you have to adapt to a given arena. There's often a method that hurts the boss really slowly, but that method is nothing on one method that you might only discover by luck.

I think the battle with the scientist in Devil May Cry 4 is one of these. Wait... I can pick up and throw those swords? It interrupts him even on Dante Must Die mode? I did not know this.

I had 100% of the trophies in that game, and I didn't know that. Thank you!

I only really found it out because I hadn't played F3 in a while, so I was trying to get my Pipboy up, and accidently turned it on.

Also, I didn't know for the longest time that the Heavy's secondary button for his minigun, was just revving it up, and not something special that I had to do to make it fire differently

Damn it... Now I've been trapped in the endless tunnel of Tv Tropes! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

And I would have to say...
Hm...
Well, I don't think I ever really had much trouble except for in Fallout 3 with the water.

Well after the first time I beat DMC4 I looked up some gameplay videos and that was pretty much my reaction to every single move I saw. I seriously suck at those types of games.

I'd beaten two Final Fantasy games (II and III on the SNES, respectively) before I learned that you could run away from battles.

I don't know if this counts, but in Borderlands if you do a quick fetch quest for some Claptraps, they give you extra backpack space. Well I thought it was automatic, but it turns out you had to apply this thing to give yourself more space. So I ended up beating the entire game with 12 backpack slots because I didn't know that you had to apply it yourself.
