Same game but holding down A to drink the water continuously.
Was playing F3 fo about 6 months before realising.
You can do that?

Goddamnit...
Well, there's mine.
And now I know as well....And Knowing is half the battle!
apparently nobody knows this...
I figured it out on accident while playing the game at a friend's house (forgetting you're holding down a button for the win?). He, on the other hand, didn't know how to block with melee weapons, so he freaked out whenever I was blocking the police batons while I escaped the Vault.

As for myself, whenever I first started playing SOCOM: Combined Assault I didn't know about the different firing modes. That wasn't a problem until I started experimenting with new weapons. At that point my teammates started to yell at me for only pressing the fire button once whenever I was running up to an enemy with a semi-auto firing mode on.

Hey, it's not the bad!

At least you knew how to use V.A.T.S. before the second playthrough, unlike me!

It took me at least 1 playthrough to figure out you could quick select weapons or herbs in RE5 by pressing the directional buttons.

Ohh, also, when I first got my PS2, and got God of War I think it was, It kept saying push L3/R3 to do something, I'm thinking "Where the hell are they??!?"....then I later learn that pressing down on the analog sticks counts as buttons.....

I thought in Borderlands (for the first 10 minutes) that when you were picking up guns from a chest it costed money. Very very stupid on my part but I figured it out quick thankfully.

The other one I found out was the - key will switch the colors of the disguise you're wearing in TF2 (press the "-" key when you have the cigs out)so if you want to fake someone out into thinking there's a sniper in a tunnel, you can hold them back.

I didn't know you could combine herbs in RE5 until the halfway through the last chapter, that made life a lot easier

Wait, what?

Goddamn, that would have been useful back when I played F3...

I get a lot of that feeling when playing Demon's Souls, half the stuff I find out I didn't even know I could do in the game itself like "The fuck, I killed that mother fucking thing?!?! How the hell did I do that!" and using the emotes.
I got to the emote menu once by accident, but haven't figured out how to get back to the goddamn thing yet...
Holding down the "X" button I believe, there's supposed to be an easier way to do it but I havn't found it out yet.
Oo, thankee!

I didn't realise either until you made that thread at the vault.
Do you remember when somebody explained how to tip Brahmin?
I don't remember making that thread. The only thread I remember making was the most pointless gun one. And I vaguely remember the Brahmin thread.
I should really go and check The Vault again.

Have you ever noticed something just hidden or never talked about ingame, that was just so painfully obvious, that you just feel stupid afterwards, either it be you finally finding it out, or someone telling you, has this ever happened to you, and with what?...

I just realized yesterday, that my Pipboy in Fallout 3 had a built in flashlight in it that was toggled by holding down the Tab button longer.(have been playing Fallout 3 for the past 3-4 months now)
a message flashes up on the screen telling you that at some point near the beginning (or it does on the 360 version anyway) but the flashlight is almost totally pointless anyway seeing as it illuminates all of about 2 feet!

In the Majesty 2 campaign you eventually get regal artifacts - a scepter, a mantle and an orb and a.. crown? The ones you had collected showed up in the top left corner of the interface. I had collected them all and nearly finished the game before realizing you could click them to get magical bonuses out of them.

I think it was Metal Gear Solid 3 that was the first one to let you move and squat at the same time. Or was that MGS4? I can't remember. Been a while. But whichever that one was, that was one of my stupid moments. Didn't know you could do that.

Also finding out I could still walk while in camera mode on a Fatal Frame game. -_-

How exactly do all you FO3 players not know to hold down "a" to drink constantly? I'm pretty sure it's in a hint, and doesn't it say when you are in water, and looking down, "Press A to drink water"? I mean.. Kinda self-explanatory, ain't it?
