Star Wars: Battlefront II
One of the best games ever (IMO)!

When are they going to make III?
I think they're making it as we speak. There was a trailer back in January, but there was never a release date.
Last I heard it had been tossed, but I may be wrong. I better be wrong, Battlefront and Battlefront 2 both hold fond memories, I'd love to see a third.

Have you ever plugged in a really old game, went online just for the hell of it and were surprised at the amount of people still playing it online?

I just plugged in Star Wars: Battlefront II and was awe struck at how many rooms there were. The game is old as Methuselah and there are over 20 rooms, all with at least 3 people playing.
Battlefront 2 is only a few years old.
Could have sworn I played it back in 2003....

Blah. My memory isn't what it used to be. >_>"

Battlefront II old? Seriously, people still play Baldur's gate, people still play Diablo 2. Not to mention Starcraft, Warcraft 2 and several other games that are actually old.

I mean, I get the first one, it might be old (and it actually IS old), but it's a great game, but the second? Seriously.

It came out in 2003-4, but that isn't very old. I know people that still find tons of matches for Starcraft, Team Fortress Classic, Counterstrike, and tons of other games. And all of those came out before 2000.

I'm kinda supprised that RSV2 still has a bunch of players, i know its a popular game but even though its like 2+ years old it has at any given moment 100+ servers being used.

No, because I'm not so self-centered to think that once I stop playing a game everyone else will. Plenty of people still play MOHAA and it was released in 2001, and I stopped playing it in 2004.

Hell, look at Starcraft.

how about Diablo 2 that game is just outstanding and people still play it till today. it's just a matter of how good the game is.

Last time I played Guitar Hero III (a few months ago) there was still quite a few people playing. It's not particularly old or anything, but now that they have the sequels, I thought that everybody would've stopped playing.

I'm still surprised at how many people still play the old Mario Party games and Banjo-Kazooie. It seems like a lot of my friends are dusting off their N64's recently and replaying games that are over a decade old.

But then again, before I lost my SP in my recent move, Tetris was by far my most played game. No one will be surprised about that, but that game is almost older than I am, and I'm 21.7 years of age.

old games dont have online multiplayer :p

I bet there are still people playing Civilisation Online. And HELL i would to.
If the Games that great who cares how old it is.
About Once a year i have my few hours of Diablo 2 , too.
And round of GTA2 Multiplayer would be a fun thing. I should check that.
Jedi Knight was played a lot, i wonder if its still today.

I enjoy the SNES "rpgs" at least once a year. Secret of Mana/Evermore especially with 2 friends and some beers.

Another thing that never will get old is Baldurs Gate/Neverwinter Nights
And never to forget the great Realms of Arcania games. The third one is still playable on my machine here. (i guess if i look for it there is a solution for the first 2 online)

People stick with the better game, with the better, harder tracks. Halo (1) for Mac still has a large population (or did last time I played it a month ago) not THAT old but it's a Mac game which just blows my mind.

I logged into Diablo 1 a while ago and was amazed that there were several people playing. Not a lot, but a decent number nonetheless. Even though maybe 10% were just advertising bots. and yeah..:

Amazing that you guys think its old. Yeah it was made a while ago, but until Diablo 3 comes around its the only thing they have. So I doubt it would be that surprising. As for Warcraft 3, same thing.

Halo 2, considering the fact that the generation was officially dead, and they had halo 3, I thought it was odd people still playing it.
