In games; Kane and Lynch. Never played the original. I never plan to. Two Worlds. Played the original. Honestly, it ws so bad i played it to the end becaues it was just hilarious. Not gonna playthe sequel. Ninety Nine Nights was mediocre. Played it, didn't finish, and not gonna start the sequel.
In movies; I'm jumping on the bandwagon and saying Cats and Dogs. Ther was only one thing I remember from that movie; "I want you to stay here." "Why?" "Because I hate you.", and that's only because that was totaly something I would have said to certian people. Also, Nanny Mcfeee. Like K+L, never saw the first, never plan to.

I remember back in the old days when things actauly had to EARN a sequel. This is stuff I expect from Hollywood, but the gaming inustry? Come on, man!

Meh, the sequel was okay enough, I liked it due to the humor that they added to it, as well as the gameplay where you take over a minion. Really just put one of the minions in a funny hat and have him be your guy and lead your troops around. Gives you a feel like you could die easier, so thus you're working harder.

No, I've played it and a number of times at that. The levels are fun and it has that same kind of nostalgia charm. However I never found that it did anything new, or at least not in the same way there were changes from Mario 64 to Sunshine to Galaxy 1. To me it seemed nothing more than an expansion pack, an add-on.

To be fair, the second D&D movie actually felt like D&D, while the first one was just a terrible 90's action "comedy" set in a fantasy world.

OT: I can't think of any truly pointless sequels off the top of my head. Oh, I can think of plenty that I wouldn't have picked for a sequel given the choice, but there's usually a reason for it even with the crappiest of film to game adaptations. When it's a stand alone game that gets a sequel, even if I absolutely hate it, I understand that there might be fans who are thrilled to get another installment. I know there's some sequels I would kill to have made, even though there weren't enough people playing the first one for another one to be a good risk for the studio.
