Halo. I bought an xbox just to play that game with my two brothers...we played it till our fingers bled and it never got boring. Then Halo two came around and granted it improved on a number of grounds but it just sucked all the fun out of halo and we quit playing halo and halo two all together.

Oh, and Cats and Dogs 2. It's not a game, but why the hell is there a sequel coming out?
I agree, it is missing the one memorable thing from the first film which was the endlessly hilarious villain cat. Without him the film is doomed to fail.

Left 4 Dead.
Pretty much this.

There really wasn't anything different. The characters where 25% blacker, the sun was out, a few new zombies, and melee weapons.

I quite liked Two Worlds....it got kinda boring after a while though.

Tony Hawk's Underground 2. It was almost identical to underground 1. Why!?

Kane and Lynch. Universally hated, and yet it got a sequel. Meanwhile back at the ranch we're still waiting on Beyond Good and Evil...
I am kinda glad to see bad games get sequels (no excuse for no BG&E 2 though). It gives the devs a chance at redemption. A chance to make the game the way they want with the experience from the first. That is why I am sad about no Alpha Protocol sequel.

Bioshock 2 is first on my long list of sequels that should never have been. Which goes back to the first paragraph. They rested on thier laurels with it. They didn't make it to improve the experience. They made it for no other reason than Bioshock made a mint. That is not to say a good game doesn't deserve a sequel. Just not EVERY good game.

Shadow hearts Series...

I did not realize that From the new World existed until I checked out the series on wiki. Still a fairly decent game though, but doesn't hold a candle to 1 and 2.
IT SHOULD HAVE ENDED AFTER THE FIRST ONE AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH 2 AND 3 WERE TERRIBLE

Blasphemy! You speak Blasphemy! Covenant was the best in the series! The Original was aweome too! FTNW...maybe, but I still enjoyed it somewhat.

Left 4 Dead. Not because it was bad, completely the opposite. The sequel just seemed to be too soon, when the first game was (and is) still awesome

For the purpose of shovelling as much shovelware as possible.

Anyways, when a game is bad, I just set to ignoring it rather than complaining, but Guitar Hero 3 would be my contender, because I feel that the series peaked around there and GH2, and adding more on has only diminished the enjoyability of the later games, as Harmonix rapidly runs out of good Guitar Songs and just goes back to ripping off Rock Band, which was incidentally made by the people who made the original GH, the concept for which was bought out by Harmonix and shamelessly repeated.

I guess I'm just trying to say, Harmonix needs to die in a fire, their only redemption being GH3, which wasn't their idea to start with.

Portal, at first, but then Valve made me feel better about having a sequel.

[sub]Except for those gel spouts. They aren't exactly Portal...[/sub]

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen (the movie, not game... okay, the game too)

Actually, the ORIGINAL movie shouldnt've even been made, those films are celluloid diarrhea.

Yes, Overlord.
I like Overlord :( And the sequel...
How you can like that abomination of a game is something I do not wish to know.
sadly i like it too, idk how i would classify it genre wise but i had fun with it, the overall atmosphere was fun and being the bad guy was awesome, sending in minions like crazy was fun beatin the piss out of the medieval fat douchers.

plus i loved the intro music in the main menu...

although i have only played a few hours of the first one, i have beaten the second one to a pulp.
