Am I the only one who doesn't understand Wal-Mart hatred? I don't understand why a single store has so much animosity directed towards it. Yes, there is evidence of them mistreating their employees, but that's not what seems to be the issue.

Also, Wal-Mart being out of stock of certain items, especially high-selling ones like Modern Warfare 2, is no reason to hate them...Best Buy was arbuably just as likely to have been sold out of it.

Oh well, I'm a Canadian...anything that gets us out of the frigid cold ca't be too bad :p
Yeah I love wal mart(well not love but I shop there no qualms) they have everything in one stop cheaper than anyone(usually) so what if the service sucks a lot it's practically a freaking warehouse and the service sucks everywhere someone is paid 8-10 bucks an hour. (barring my employer target).

Getting pissed because we/they don't have something is a bit much. So you want that popular camera that was in the ad? well so did 150 other people who didn't wait till late to do shopping. And how inventory works its not always possible to keep things in stock just because we don't have the space to do that. We have a system that tracks sales of each item and then factors in things such as location, and sales on said item to determine how much we get of said item. Because if you order too much you lose a LOT of money, so its inevitable to run out of things. Especially hot items.
it wasn't in an ad, are there even ads for walmart anymore?
why wouldn't there be ads for Wal-mart?

I hate Walmart too, I don't go in there unless I really have too.
And why is there a McDonald's in Walmart, is anyone really shopping there long enough to need a lunch break?!?!
Yes... yes they are... I worked there and it's surprisingly busy, but mostly for chicken nugget happy meals to make kids happy for long shopping... and make messes for us workers.

Yes i do hate walmart. But here's the thing; people go there to buy things cheap that were manufactured in some third or second world country, and the employees there know it's going to be a minimum wage job and that people are going to treat them like shit. But hey, they need the money. If that doesn't fit your persona, then just don't go there.
Fun and completly random fact: The Second World refered exclusivly to The Soviet Union. The Third World is a holdover from the bipolar nature of cold war politics, but today, Russia is considered a First World Nation (usually). So there litterally is no second world left.

I try and avoid those places when I can. They sell their stuff so cheap it runs local guys outta buisness, and then they can hike their prices up how ever they want
by selling their stuff cheap it gives consumers more money to spend on local businesses. We have two walmarts and a metric fucking ton of mom n pop stores here. Don't act like they're some boogeyman, people are responsible for their own spending, not walmart.
Don't tell my spanish teacher that XD She hates them with a passion. I dunno Walmart is nice, but I'm not a huge fan of it

I do my best to avoid Walmart since it always comes off as depressing and disorganized. I've found myself shopping there occasionally when I was desperate for a certain item at an odd hour, but frankly, I didn't feel all that good about myself afterward.

Thankfully, in Ireland we don't have Walmart. I am so fucking glad that monument to consumerism does not exist in my country.
I think they run Asda as their european branch IIRC.

Well we don't have Wal-marts in Australia (We've got beaches, bitches and beer so that's good enough for us) but if you don't enjoy them just steer clear of them. Though what's so bad about Disneyland?
Wait wait wait, hold up. I went to a mall in Queensland a few years back, and it had a Wal Mart. Not a very good one though, didn't have any disposable cameras.

Walmart is such a painful place when it's crowded. People forget basic laws of walking, going wherever they please regardless of the 4 people behind them who just can't get around them because they're so damn slow and there's no way into another aisle and ARGH! People with kids are the worst. Each child in a crowded Walmart is yet another obstacle in a minefield of pain, except these obstacles have an even worse grasp on social behavior than their parents and everyone else. They wander and meander, often right in front of my cart and only move when their parents tell them to "get out of this nice gentleman's way, please, dear" like they don't know when they're about to get run over.

I have no problem with Walmart when it's reasonably empty, but when it's crowded...the rage builds, man. It builds. /rant

Alright, I was at Walmart 2 days ago, and i saw everything I wanted. Modern Warfare 2, a video camera at 179. A iPod at 144. Everything in stock, fine and dandy. So I come in, money in hand. I look for MW2, it is out. Spirits: sad. I look at the Ipod, it is now 245. Spirits: angry. They don't have any more video cams. Spirits: PISSED OFF! Luckily, I went to best buy and they had everything! I forgot about the Ipod, I'll save that for my bday in march. Now I always have a hatred for Walmart. Filled with people from the Rednecks and Ghetto. I swear, I get so pissed off there, I get migraines when ever i walk in there. If Walmart was Goku, Ignorance would be his power. It is all over the place! So share your stories and your feelings.
Sam's Club is by far the worst.

It is Walmart in warehouse form and packed full of people you do not want to be around. And you need a freakin' membership to shop there!

It's terrible.
