Ness sighed a small bit as she looked away from Solaris and tipped her hat a bit. [color=666666] "...It's fine... Thank you for apologizing... I was beginning to think you had just suggested this alliance to use me as a practice dummy... but seeing that you care enough to at least apologize about it makes me feel a little better." [/color] She said, giving Solaris a faint smile.

[color=915f6d]"Overexami--Oh! I get it."[/color] Selim responded, then shook his head at Vera's second question. [color=915f6d]"Nah, it's not required, it just helps more. A state alchemist is like a normal soldier, but better. Like, everyone looks up to them, so I wanna become one!"[/color] He exclaimed cheerily, then looked around for a moment. [color=915f6d]"Anyway, can we go sit somewhere, Miss Robot? My legs're getting kinda tired..."[/color]

"I-It's not fine..." Solaris responded after a moment of silence, in which she forced more tears out of her eyes. "I... I killed you! Yes, you may have come back, but... but still... I still killed a person." She added, speaking with a somewhat trembling voice. She looked up to Ness' eyes for a moment, before looking down towards the floor.

[color=666666] "This is something you'll recover from." [/color] Vanessa stated next, barely even a pause after Solaris looked back down. Her voice, however didn't seem to be one that was comforting or consoling. Her voice sounded firm and even ticked off, though the anger was subtle. [color=666666] "You killed me and you've atoned for that the best you can. You shedding more tears over it won't solve or fix anything. Just move forward and swear that you'll try not to do something like it again." [/color] If Solaris looked up again, she'd see that Ness had her hat tipped to hide her eyes and seemed to be looking away from her.

Vera blinked a bit at Selim before nodding and walking toward the door. [color=00aa44] "Suggesting subject refreshes themselves in the lounge." [/color]

Upon hearing Ness' words, Solaris sniffled a little, before falling quiet. And that's about enough of the thesbian talents. After wiping her tears away with her hand, Solaris slowly looked up again, seeing Ness had averted her eyes. "Y-you sound as if you're speaking from experience..." She stated, keeping the tremble in her voice, albeit to a lesser degree.

[color=915f6d]"Alright."[/color] Selim responded with a nod, then looked around again, holding up a pointer finger. [color=915f6d]"Uhh... Is the lounge that way... or that way? I forgot..."[/color]

[color=00aa44] "Lounge is in this area." [/color] Vera said bluntly as she walked in the other direction that Selim was pointing. [color=00aa44] "Inquiring to see if subject has trouble remembering information." [/color]

[color=666666] "I am." [/color] The woman said, keeping her head turned away. [color=666666] "If you've seen me in the arena, I'm sure you would've understood that already. I wasn't anywhere near as... gentle as I am now." [/color] She sighed and moved to her desk, seating herself and keeping her head down. [color=666666] "I just don't want to see you ending up how I was. If you can't control that goo of yours fully, then practice on something other than a living being. I... really don't want to see you acting like the rest of these people in here." [/color]

[color=915f6d]"Oh. Okay."[/color] Selim responded cheerily as Vera corrected him, following after her after waving goodbye to Nanami. When asked if he had memory problem, he shook his head. [color=915f6d]"Not really, no. But I just got here, and everything looks kinda the same. I would've explored more, but there are monsters around!"[/color]

"I... simply thought you were a pacifist. Well... martial pacifist. I didn't think you had a... burdened conscience." Solaris responded, her voice steadily returning back to normal. Wrapping her arms around her waist, she leaned against a wall, and looked back to Ness after Ness sat at the desk.

"Yes... I can safely say I don't want that either..." Solaris blew a soft sigh, and looked down to the Pix armour, supressing a smirk. She kept her silence, before looking back to Ness. "If I might ask... what were you like? And how did you move past that?"

Rex decided to follow Vera and Selim.

[color=666666] "That's a story I'm not willing to tell, I'm afraid." [/color] Ness said, as her eyes shifted to look to Solaris. The woman would see that the woman's eyes were shining blood-red instead of the icy blue that her irises were usually colored. [color=666666] "But I can tell you... that I snapped out of it once I realized everything that I had done was beginning to cloud my normal life..." [/color] She leaned back in her chair and looked up to the ceiling. [color=666666] "All I saw was red. The ground, the sky, even the people... All I saw was blood everywhere... to the point where I was simply drowning in it. It's odd that I didn't realize it sooner... but then again, I wasn't the way I was now. It wasn't something I could've helped." [/color]

She sighed and continued looking up, the ruby colored eyes seeming to look past the light and into the past. It would be near impossible to tell if what she was staring at was giving her a sense of nostalgia or regret.

Vera tilted her head in response, a small whirring coming from her joint moving. [color=00aa44] "Eh? Monsters?" [/color] The android scanned around the hallway and blinked blankly. [color=00aa44] "Unit hasn't encountered what you speak of in these hallways. Perhaps the section you reside in needs to be examined further." [/color] She said, the grip on her sword tightening up.

When Ness looked to Solaris, and Solaris took note of Ness' change in eye colour, she tilted her head slightly as she looked curiously. She listened on attentively as Ness spoke, various thoughts running through her head, few of which positive. "That... sounds terrible..." She spoke when Ness finished speaking, feigning being slightly frightened as she looked away from Ness. "I... I had no idea you been in such a dark place... It's frightening." After having said that, Solaris paused for a moment, glancing back to Ness. "And what happened to your eyes?"

[color=915f6d]"They're real, I swear! He was huuuge, and had these scary yellow eyes, sharp teeth, and the meanest look ever!"[/color] Selim exclaimed as he looked up to Vera as the two walked. [color=915f6d]"My dad says monsters don't exist, but I see them all the time."[/color] Looking back straight ahead, Selim hummed for a moment, before looking back up to Vera again. [color=915f6d]"What was that sound you made just there? The "bzzzt!" noise? Do you need, like, oiling, Miss Robot?"[/color]

[color=666666] "This... I'm not even sure what happened myself... I looked in the mirror one day and they were red..." [/color] Ness said, scratching her back of her head as she looked toward Solaris, head now back to being level. She seemed to either ignore or not want to comment on the 'dark place' she had been in. [color=666666] "Maybe the reason I was seeing red to begin with was these eyes... Who knows? Odder things have happened to people I've seen." [/color]

[color=00aa44] "Unit thinks subject may be hallucinating due to shock of new situation. Suggesting that trek to lounge is completed posthaste." [/color] Vera said as she turned around and walked forward once again. She turned back to look at Selim as she blinked blankly. [color=00aa44] "Unit is not overdue for maintenance. Noises coming from unit is normal during operation. Inquiring why subject uses 'like' in an incorrect manner." [/color]

"But, they weren't earlier, so this change is triggered by something." Solaris responded, looking back to Ness fully. "And given that bloodshed was the topic of conversation, that's what my guess is. Do... you feel any different?" She questioned, then paused and narrowed her eyes slightly. "A sense of... longing, maybe?"

[color=915f6d]"H-hey! I'm not making things up!"[/color] Selim responded, pouting and frowning slightly as he followed Vera. [color=915f6d]"I know what I saw! I even saw another monster later, when I was following Mister Knight! That was was also big, but green, and had stubby teeth."[/color] At Vera's question, Selim looked slightly confused. [color=915f6d]"Huh? What do you mean?"[/color]

Ness stared straight back into Solaris' eyes, the red staying vibrant. [color=666666] "I don't feel any different and it'll be a cold day in Hell when I start to feel anything but hate for what I've done." [/color] She said, her voice holding a bit of venom. [color=666666] "The fact my eye color has changed means nothing." [/color]

The android chuckled a small bit as they finally entered the lounge. [color=00aa44] "Unit doesn't doubt subject's perceptions. I believe this is the protocol for 'teasing' that unit has attempted to execute. Unit finds it enjoyable." [/color] She blinked as she sat down she looked back to Selim. [color=00aa44] "Replaying speech to show effect" [/color] Soon enough, Vera's mouth opened and her lips didn't move, however Selim's voice came from her open orifice as she parroted what he had said earlier.

After closing her mouth, Vera blinked and looked to Selim. [color=00aa44] "Unit is led to believe subject used the word 'like' incorrectly." [/color]

Malcor grunted as one hand was held up, catching the table and barely holding it off his head. His other hand changed his glove into a smaller, fingerless glove, with a small coil of wire connected to a kunai. He lobbed the kunai at Rex, aiming for his face.

Rex looked again at Vera as she replayed what Selim had said. He sat down close to her.

"Right... It's just that seemed the most logical conclusion, and..." Solaris began, but then trailed off, blowing a small sigh, and shook her head. "Never mind... Sorry." You just keep telling yourself that, but you're not fooling anyone. Humans never learn.

[color=915f6d]"That's mean, Miss Robot!"[/color] Selim said with a small gasp, but then chuckled, and stuck out his tongue. Upon entering the lounge, Selim was about to walk over to a couch, when Vera replayed the recording, where upon Selim stopped and approached Vera, looking up to her with his mouth slightly agape. [color=915f6d]"You sounded just like me there! How did you do that?!"[/color]

Still recovering from the throw, Rex barely had time to bring up his arm to block the kunai. It made a thunk as it stuck into Rex's gauntlet. He sighed as he pulled the kunai out and approached Malcor as he struggled with the table.

[color=00aa44] "Unit can record and replay audio." [/color] Vera explained casually before looking to Selim and tilting her head as he stuck out his tongue at her. She blinked and stuck out her own tongue, it being a dark gray as she put the tongue back into her mouth as Selim did with his.

She looked up to Rex as he sat down and she tilted her head once more. [color=00aa44] "Is unit being 'mean'?" [/color]

[color=666666] "It's in the past now. You don't need to worry about it." [/color] Ness said, giving Solaris a small smile. As she said this, the red slowly faded from her eyes and the icy blue was back, looking a bit more vibrant than before. [color=666666] "Well... was there anything else you wanted to talk about? Cause I wanna ask about the goo you've got on you..." [/color]

Opening her eyes again, and seeing Ness smile, Solaris returned the smile. "Well, someone broke into my room, and I wanted to ask if you could fix the door they broke... But that can wait. What is it you want to know?" She asked, tilting her head by a small margin. "Why it... had that accident, I suppose?"

[color=915f6d]"You have a recorder in your mouth? That sounds... kinda doesn't sound like a nice thing to have. Food would get stuck behind it when you eat! But if you don't need to eat and stuff like that, then I guess it's alright."[/color] Selim responded, smiling near the end.

Resuming his idea to go sit on the couch, Selim approached it further, but stopped once he noticed Carmen laying on it. He spent a moment looking to her horns, wings and tail, before walking backwards to Vera, and moving close to her, looking somewhat fearful. [color=915f6d][sub]"Miss Robot... There is another monster there..."[/sub][/color] He whispered.

Malcor grunted, and yanked on his hand the kunai was attached to. the wire the kunai was wrapped in snapped, and quickly coiled around Rex's arm tightly, its natural tension slicing into him. The part of the wire that flew back to Malcor coiled around his hand, slicing his knuckles and settling there. he threw the table away and stepped back, changing his gloves into two daggers.

"I'm sure you just don't know any better." Rex said with a smirk to Vera.

Rex grunted as his arm slowly dribbled black everywhere as continued walking forward, his black blood dripping to the ground as he continued. Electricity arced around him as he kept his eyes deadlocked on Malcor.

Vera chuckled a bit as she nodded at Rex. [color=00aa44] "Unit is lacking in protocol, it seems." [/color] Vera tilted her head before Selim stopped and got spooked by Carmen's appearance.

The demoness was sleeping noiselessly on the chair, arms crossed over her chest. Her tail twitched sporadically but she did nothing more as she lay there. Vera blinked as she looked the succubus over and gripped her sword again. [color=00aa44] "Terminating..." [/color] The android began to walk over and held her sword high above her head, ready to hack the demoness in half.

[color=666666] "Partially about that yes... but the other thing I'm wondering about is... how did you end up making it to begin with?" [/color] Ness said, tilting her head. [color=666666] "I didn't know you did alchemy with goo like this..." [/color] She poked the armor experimentally and Pix had the armor harden enough that Ness' fingers didn't poke straight into her.
